It sucks, its ruined over 9000 games for me where I end up in the ****ing water because you were too lazy to code it to allow someone to backjump by the click of one key. Please finish your games before you release them. Overlooking something so obviously key to a good gameplay experience is really amateur. Sorry but if you want people to enjoy your games and buy future ones don't overhaul a game then leave something that is completely retardedly broken in it.

And for your info: backflip has always been a double-backspace press.

Indeed.
That's what I actually thought this thread would be about.

Just lost another hour long game due to the epic forward jump into the water because I must have been 1 second off with the double click of enter. Really binding forward jump and back jump to the same key... did anyone at Team17 stop to think this just might cause epic problems for users? Is it so hard to bind backjump to one key or even go back to your old system where it was double-backspace, at least then the consequences for being a millisecond off with a key click weren't "lol fall to water , game set match, retardality".

I'll agree that it would be great to have back flip on a separate key would be nifty, but I also miss the tiny back jump for getting over little humps.

There have been a few occasions where the simple straight vertical jump would have been helpful as well, but it's not a huge deal most of the time.

I've never failed to perform a backflip when I've wanted to though, the required time between key presses isn't that short.

Just wanted to note this, but yesterday when I was playing the game, the high backflip was a double-enter key configuration...

In WR, both double enter and bouble backspace do a backflip

Yes, it was always double backspace, BUT, missing the second key press wouldn't make you jump forward into oblivion. And also who cares, he has a point. There's no reason why it should not be a separate button. As it is it only offers the possibility to miss, which really has no reason to be there.

Ahhh right. I just found that out. :)

The problem is that you need to push enter twice very quickly which is indeed hard sometimes. This is the first game in the series where I do wrong jumps...

Tatally agree with you.
There must be a back flip only on backspace button.

backspace = jump vertically
double backspace = backflip

Enter = jump forward
Double Enter = Back jump

Thats how I remember it. I never jump into the water as a result of double tapping enter, but I have been unable to reach places without the back jump. Particularly in craters, where the backflip is too high

backspace = jump vertically
double backspace = backflip

Enter = jump forward
Double Enter = Back jump

Double backspace + enter = small backflip

Just wanted to add that.

Which was just a different animation, but had the exact same collision mask as the regular backjump.
That made it more difficult to execute and also more prone to fail and end up with the wrong jump.

Eh...? That's not true. It worked at least slightly different.

Yep, Deadcode says so.

This issue is getting serious now. I'm losing game by game because my worm does a forejump into Nirvana (mrchampipi can confirm this I think, I just played him :rolleyes:)

However this is really annoying. I also see several other players on-line who do the same "mistake" and I win undeserved. I'm not sure why this happens constantly, but I assume that the sequence in which you have to press enter is too short.

The ability to create a lobby has added to the Multiplayer Options menu. This will allow players to host their own lobbies without the need to search for available lobbies beforehand.

hoooooray!

Is changing the backflip to a different key really that difficult a task? -_-

(Almost at the one hour mark in a game)2 enemy worms left both under 10 hp can easily kill them both in this turn with a shotgunall I need to do is backflip over this one worm...oh he jumped forward instead...cool right into a puddle.Game over.
