There is so much waiting during online matches I've pretty much given up, because one game with 4 teams can take over 30 minutes to finish.

You have the five second wait. Then you have that short wait after a weapon has been used. Then the "waiting for players" message that can be there for at least 3 seconds per turn. So each turn takes an extra 15 seconds on top of the 30-45 seconds allocated to the turn which adds up to an average of 1 minute during each round of turns and 5 minutes or more of pure waiting in each game of worms. Worms is about mayhem and not waiting.

Have you not thought about a real time online game mode T17?

Let's just nip this one in the bud, real-time worms is so far removed from the franchise's style that it just won't be happening. The only waiting which is really annoying is waiting for resynchronisation, the rest is part of a *turn* based game.

Maybe it's a ping issue?
If you can ,check it with local players and see..

When I"m playing with europe gamers it's fine to me..(I live in the middle east..)

I've had a few issues while playing a friend of mine who was at a hotel using their wifi - we had to wait pretty long at certain points. But I also played a bunch of other people on regular connections and I haven't experienced the same problems.

Whenever I can actually get in a game, it seems to lag at every event from taking a turn to using weapons. This may be a sync/connection issue.

However I'm also talking about the design choices T17 have made in multiplayer that slow down the game, and even encourage players to distract themselves from the game. If the game flowed more smoothly and didn't give players so much time to "wait" then perhaps the 5 second wait could start as soon as the previous player fired their weapon and the changes synced on the fly as the next player takes their turn.

Again, I'm no programmer, but anything to speed up a game that has become very slow online would be appreciated.

This resynchronisation has to end!!! It didn't happen with the old Worms Armageddon and it should certainly not happen in a modern Worms game! So plz, speed this up!

In Worms Armageddon there could have been 6 players and no one had to wait that long for a crate to come down! Now it has to synch with everyone, longer and shorter, where the crate comes down....:(

Technically W:A does resync, it's just better at it.

Funny how a ten year-old game has better online than the franchise's newest installment. This could be improved upon if a turn is ended immediately once a worm teleports or falls, and after retreat time ends.
