Okay so I'm still grafting away on my review in which I intend to show every available weapon so I've done a count, recorded the footage but I'm obviously missing something. People keep saying there are 47 weapons and utilities in Worms Reloaded but I've only got 41 in my count so if someone could tell me what I'm missing I'd be grateful.

Regular: Bazooka, homing missile, grenade, cluster bomb, ninja rope, fire punch, dynamite, mine, jet pack, blowtorch, airstrike, baseball bat, sheep, pnematic drill, marked for death, napalm strike, shotgun, petrol bomb, parachute, dragon ball, girder, invisibility, poison strike, uzi, teleport, prod, mass teleport, gas pump, kamikaze, termites, ferrets, lightning, magnets, drone guns and earthquake. That's 35.

Special: Banana bomb, buffalo of lies, holy hand grenade, super sheep, concrete donkey and Armageddon. That's another 6 added to the 35 makes 41.

Let's say we add skip turn and surrender in there, that still makes only 43 so what am I forgetting?

I am missing Steal.

Try a shooting range in training mode, all of the weapons should be there.

Steal! Of course. Bridge construction kit was another one I forgot. So that's 45.

I didn't count but I'm pretty sure it has every weapon in the game listed here.

Thanks! So that's now 47 not including surrender and skip go. Can't believe I forgot the two bunker busters. The remaining two were the boomerang and the totem neither of which I've ever seen.

There's no boomerang???

I'm not aware of a Boomerang in the game.

Aren't Worship and Totem the same thing? (Genuine question, not sure myself)

True. Those are the same.

Something I've made during the beta. Maybe you have some use for your review.

There are file remains in the Steam directory, hinting that the boomerang may have been left out of the game.

I'd like to know why because it's used in Battle Islands, still. What's wrong with the boomerang in Reloaded?

Yeah ... And boomerang always seemed to me like a good replacement for Bow & Arrow :(

I actually used it a lot in OW2, it was awesome. You could push Worms from a far distance (well the same a zook could do), but also collect crates. Additionally it stucked into the landscape so it sometimes saved my butt in a BnG mode when Sudden Death occured (Yes it was available in BnG!)

So in short, it's a three in one function: A mini-girder, a slightly more powerful prod and you could collect crates with it without leaving safe positions.

Also - that's why it's called boomerang - you could press the fire button again to make it return to your worm (a little tricky though). Means you could use the boomerang several times even if you only got a single one.

That multifunctional design is what made it really cool!

You can't really compare boomerang to longbow since it's an almost entirely different weapon - nuff' said, now?

Ha, its the same thing basically just with damage, and the fact that the boomerang comes back to you (ooooohh, how exciting)

You can make bridges with a boomerang, you can make bridges with a longbow. You can push worms with the Boomerang, and you can do the same with the longbow. The longbow was awesome.

The weapons aren't really the problem. It's the new game engine that takes some getting use to. The camera and mouse cursor don't go where you actually think or want them to go (if you know what I mean), and the power meter when using a weapon such as a bazooka is different, and kinda annoying. But once I get used to these, I should be fine. ^^

Can you collect crates with the longbow? Nope. So therefore the boomerang is superior in feature-count.
Perhaps not in style, but it does have the upper hand by two features.

Does anybody know how to get all the weapons on reloaded? When i start a new game, i only have a few weapons i can select? Is there an option for that? Can somebody tell me?

You can buy some from the shop. Play the tutorials and campaign mode to earn coins, like in Worms 4, and then spend them in the shop.

But the bow blows them up. And I ask you this: How is blowing something up not always the BEST option?

Exactly. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3tt9hE9sc4)

I assume everybody got that problem. If I played Worms 3D for a long time it's difficult to get back into Worms 4 physics :p

...no...?

You must be lucky then. For me, whenever I'm roping or using the jetpack and I move the mouse to see where I'm going, the camera never resets back too centre on my worm.

Exactly. I've gotten used to how Armageddon and Worms 4 works. ^^

And, let's just say the mouse doesn't "act" like it does when you are normally using your computer. It feels like it has a slight delay in response time. Hard to explain. =/

i dont even use the new power meter anymore, it's kinda....vague, i just use my mental timer now, time it with ur brain, lots easier imo.

the camera is indeed kinda stupid, it if u move ur camera around after firing weapon and b4 the damage shows up, it starts to move around as if u havent moved it yet.
eg if the worm is on top left of the screen, then u move the camera manually, it will still move the camera left-up instead of moving to the worm, it sets the direction of the camera movement instead of where the actual worm/event is.

How come there are no hotkey for jetpackbecause the ONLY hotkeys are the ones assigned from armageddon and T17 lazily slapped them onto reloaded as well. none of the new weapons got keys and since there wasn't room for the utilities to get keys on armageddon, they didn't get them here either.

From the W:A beta update readme:
v3.5 Beta 1 Update (2002.08.09)
Select Utilities Tilde ( ~ )
v3.5 Beta 2 Update (2002.08.15)
•Utility selection key fixed for UK-layout keyboards. It is now the grave accent key (to the left of the 1 key) in both layouts.

But yeah, one might think that the devs would have looked at all the beta updates during past 8 years.

You can use it to climb as with the bow and arrow, but the return functionality is pretty useless. I would take the bow anyday.

If I want to reach a crate far away from me in a "Metal" game (on-line scheme in OW2), I'm pretty happy the boomerang can return to my worm so I can still use it for the next crate.
