Hey all,

Basically I downloaded the file in the sticky link, then I ran the DXSETUP.exe (assume thats what you do).

Then I get the following error:

A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the Cryptographic Services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid.

Now ive looked around on the internet for some solutions for this and none of them work. Plus I dont want to go messing with regeristy files that I dont know anything about.

So, unless im doing the wrong thing with the download, then, im screwed I think.

Please Team17, just do an update which takes this issue away! I want my screaming worms :(

I had the same problem as you.

What you need to do is download the end user redistributable from here (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=3b170b25-abab-4bc3-ae91-50ceb6d8fa8d), click on the .exe & choose a destination to extract it all to (temp is fine, as you don't need these files once you've installed it). Then you go into the folder you extracted it all to & run DXSETUP.EXE from that location.

The redistributable is about 97mb & extracts all the cab files that dxwebsetup tries to download during installation when you use it, so I'm not sure if it's a problem at Microsoft's end or not. Either way, once DXSETUP has finished installing, the game runs with sound.
