Five years it has been, since I got the idea to create a series of Shopper maps, each one themed on a city, be it a city that actually exists (like Rome, how my first ever map, quite rudementary so, was themed), or one that only exists in fictional works (like the city of Metropolis, or Caprica city). After making the 'Worms city' map, I took a break from making the city themed maps, as I felt I wasn't going to top that map, graphically, and as much work I put into the map, it's a bit flawed unfortunately, playability-wise. (too large)

Anywhoo, I'm coming to the point I'm trying to make here. With summer coming to an end, a new beta in sight, and a 5-year anniversary since making my first City Shopper, I'd like to make an addition to my series. My ordeal is, what city do I feature in this edition? I would have hoped you guys wouldn't mind helping me out this time so I've set up this little poll containing a couple of cities that could feature in my next map. So, go on and vote or, if you think you have a really cool idea for a city shopper yourself, don't hold back and post it up here!

- The cloud city of Stratos (http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Stratos)
- The ancient university city of Leuven (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leuven) (wich also happens to be the city where I reside)
- A 1930's city with an airport theme
- A southern city with a tropical theme
- Venezia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venice) Shopper

Very much looking forward to your ideas!

Moscow during the winter?

Well, I kinda already done a map with a (Bela)Russian theme (http://www.wmdb.org/5948), so I'm afraid that idea won't be high on my list ;)

Venezia, hands down.

It's got so many iconic places:

St Mark's cathedreal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Mark%27s_Basilica)
St Mark's campanile (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Mark%27s_Campanile)
St Mark's clock tower (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Mark%27s_Clocktower)
Doge's Palace (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Wenecja_Palac_Dozow.JPG)
channels with those red-striped mooring poles (http://www.olivermann.de/cooltrips/lv2005/hotel_venetian_gondel.jpg)
Gondolas with a gondolier in traditional garbs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Gondoliere.jpg)
Rialto bridge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rialto_bridge)
Regatta on the Canale Grande (http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/static.panoramio.com/photos/original/5630651.jpg)

Do it!

Yeah I'd love to see a nice Venezia map too, the whole theme is awesome. You can include the water very nice as there's a lot of water on the bottom of every W:A map. :p
