I just downloaded it and the menu is lagging like crazy. The cursor responds 5 seconds after I move it. :(

I find it strange that there is a tiny selection of resolutions to choose from.

Here are my specs:

Windows 7 32 bit
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3Ghz 2.99 Ghz
2GB RAM
NVidia GeForce 7800 GT

Edit: Possible fix for some in post #16

Hmm that's strange. Your system is quite capable of running the game.

Try closing all other applications, update all drivers and try again?

I and many others are having the same issue and it seems that having the latest drivers doesn't help solve the issue.

Win7 64-bit
Q6600 2.4Ghz
ATi 4870 1GB
4GB of RAM

Try turning off Blur, that usually helps.

I tried that. I put it on the lowest settings possible and still it drags badly.

Well you have no choice but to ask Team17, mate.

That's what he did... I mean, this is their official forum isn't it?

But yes, that's strange. I already got a very slow computer and the game runs perfectly, also with blur... you seem to have a rather uncommon problem.

How does it run in-game?

Well you have no choice but to ask Team17, mate.

I just sent them an email. I'll post whatever they reply with here so others with the same problem can see.

Thurbo: I tried a single player game and it was still choppy, unplayable. The graphics were messed up, had a kind of grid placed over everything. After about 15 seconds it crashed and I had to kill it in task manager.

OK, turns out it was just my gfx drivers afterall. Checked for new ones and there they were.

Now to play!

There you go. I suspected drivers were the problem.

I am having the same issue, just updated graphics drivers. I have a PC with a quad gore and a Gig of gfx memory, it would normally eat these games fro breakfast but it runs really slowly.

Any ideas why?

If you look at the Steam forums (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=941) (if you dare) you'll see that it's not an uncommon problem.

I've posted about this in the steam forums and there are numerous others who are having the same problem. It is an unrelated problem with the Saitek Keyboards aswell. I'm pretty lost on the issue because I have a Radeon 5870 and there is no way it can be a driver issue as mine are constantly updated.

I'm having the same issues. i've reported it on the steam forums. All my drivers are up to date and with a Radeon 5870 you'd think lag would never be an issue :(

Yeah. I can't run this on my desktop but it runs fine on my laptop. Bad times. :(

OK. Team17 emailed me back. I already fixed my problem with a gfx card drivers update but this info might help others still having problems. Here's what they said:

* If you are having problems getting the game to launch or you are experiencing random crashes, it might be that the game did not install correctly. Please use Steam’s validation check at least twice because sometimes it can report no problems on its first pass.

Verify integrity of game cache

1. Load Steam
2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
5. Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.

* Another reason that your game may be crashing is that you don’t have all the latest directx and video drivers, please check Steam’s support page here: - https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1093-TEMX-7665
* If you are experiencing sound issues with the game, please try updating your sound drivers. Most people after trying this have reported that it works: - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&DisplayLang=en
* Please also check the sticky threads on the Worms Reloaded steam forum for the latest news on bug fixes and solutions: - http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=941

If after doing these things, your problem is fixed, then please let us know. If your problem still persists then please send us your dxdiag file and the game log file and we will find out why you are still experiencing problems. If you used the default install, you can find the log file here: -

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\worms reloaded

We are sorry that you can’t play the game as intended right now, but we are working hard to fix all issues raised and we will patch as we fix issues. Thankyou for your continued support and patience.
