Hey guys, really excited for the game. Does anyone want to get a 4 pack on steam? If you're interested, reply here, or add me on steam: InsaneWalrus

Considering that a four-pack is more expensive than four individual pre-orders?

Or is it different there?

Ehrm, AFAIK, the 4-packs are always a -25% deal, i.e. get 4 - pay 3, which is cheaper even with the -10% bonus for a single copy.

These are the prices here in Austria (=Euro Tier 1 prices):
Single copy: 19.99€
Pre-order (-10%): 17.99€
4-pack (3x 19.99€): 59.97€

17.99 * 4 = 71.96
59.97 / 4 = 14.99

Wםw-that's pretty unfair ..I mean ---1€ equal to approximately 1.284$.
So that's funny if they just changed the currency from $ to €.

Yeah, in Steamyland 1€ = 1$ - at all times.
Has been that way for about two years now.

Also, 3 different price categories in Europe: "rich", "poor" and UK. :p

Ouch!!....(That's my first purchase at steam) so I can see now that they have pricing issue.
Guess I'm lucky to be in a "USD" region :)

When I started using Steam, everyone had to pay in USD. So everyone had the same prices (correct me if I am wrong).

For me (Europe) everything was way cheaper on Steam then in normal stores.

But then Steam changed prices like 1$=1€ . So now I import my games from the United Kingdom. Their games are cheaper then the games in my country.

I don't know how it was in other countries, but for us in Sweden we payed USD + VAT(25%) before they changed. Now it's a lot cheaper to buy retail.

But I don't understand why so many publishers use this price model on Steam.

Are you sure about that? If you pay in GBP it's like paying 25 USD (lol ,correct me if I am wrong)
1 USD = 1.56 GBD

Excuse me for tallking much about foreign currency. :)

Today I learned that I cannot count properly.

Taxes, mostly. Aside from the usual European-pricetag-has-tax-included-but-American-pricetag-doesn't, Western Europe generally does have a higher tax rate than the US.
After that, there's a bunch more economic stuff to take account for. Don't forget that the currency exchange rate only refers to how much of one currency is worth the other. While it is a reasonable indicator, it can't be used as a precise measure of... err... market value, for lack of a better term. There's a LOT more involved.

The best indication of this of all is that even within EU countries using the same currency, half of them (actually, most of them) get games for up to 25% cheaper than the other half. Which really ruins the whole "$1=€1 because companies are greedy" charade.

You'll save a lot more money if you get an American to buy the four pack, but be careful with organizing a four-pack on the forums. People usually get scammed from it.

US$ price is $59.99 for the four-pack btw.
