View Full Version : Worms Armageddon: What will make the screen follow the worm more precisely.

I used to be able to make the screen follow the worm exactly as it moved. This was especially useful when I would play "Towers" or other really big maps so the I wouldn't run my worm into a wall of off a cliff as I was roping. I think it had something to do with numlock. Please help! I've look just about everywhere to find this method and I've tried all sorts of combinations on my keyboard.

Pos1 centers the screen to the worm. Any way to lock this?

I always thought Pos1 (German keyboards?) homed the worm permanantly anyway?

But there is a trick for this though, by turning off Num Lock, pressing and holding the Home key (Numpad 7), then turning on Num Lock while keeping the Home key depressed. The effect being that that the game does not recognise the key rising again after Num Lock has been enabled.

Well.. holding down the Home key will achieve this.
I think you should be able to edit your PC's registry to set the Home key as a toggle, not a hold. I've had to do that with a key on my keyboard
(I use an Apple Keyboard, installing the drivers for the keyboard resulted in my F keys becoming locked to the media keys. So if I wanted to use an f key for its original function, I had to hold down the Fn button. How silly right? I've now changed that to a toggle.)
That is probably not the answer you were looking for though. If anyone else has a better idea then coo'.

And now I just saw the message Green posted. Hot damn. Does that really work? I did not know that.

It does. This has been known as a kind of workaround for a while. :)

Can't get the method you told me to use work Green... I know where your getting at, but I can't get the home key to do the trick with the hold home and numpad 7, then while holding home turn on numlock. Is that right? perhaps you typed in something wrong? But I think your method is very close to what I was using last year. Please reply!!!!

Hold Numpad 7 which IS the Home key on the numpad, then turn on numlock.

Hey, thanks franpa, It WORKS, I thought I was supposed to hold the homekey and the numpad 7, but I just needed to hold the numpad 7. lol Now that I look at it I see the word "home" under the "7". lol How could I have missed it xD. Anyways thanks and u2 Green, now I can do the trick again.

Oops, forgot that Pos1 is called Home.
