my game gets stuck whenever I enter a game and the host loads a map or sometimes it just acts like I have really poor connection when in fact I have 10mb.

it's kind of a new thing since i've played worms before with no special problems.

I'm using vista and lately also downloaded wormnat2 to try and fix this problem but no success there.

please help.
thanks.

Could you please explain the problem in more detail? Does the game completely lock up for you, or does it just lag?

well as I said, most time it locks completely and sometimes, when I get lucky - it lags real bad.

anything else that could help you help me? :)

Can you reproduce one of those complete lock-ups? If so:

Please install WormKit (http://worms.thecybershadow.net/wormkit/) and the following WormKit module: 32227

Run the game via WormKit, reproduce the freeze and press Ctrl+Break. W:A should close, and a file named FREEZE.DMP should be created in your W:A folder. Find and post this file here.

as soon as i'll get it - i'll post it here thanks.

for some reason i managed to play this night with some minor lags - this is weird - this thing has a mind of its own. but, i guess tomorrow or 2 days from now when i'll play - i'll get the same lock up, then i'll post it.

thanks again.

ok, got it. can't tell though if it was a complete lock up or a serious major lag.

hope it helps anyways, if not - i'll try another.

i was using quick reply so i didn't see the upload option, sorry.

anyways, please tell me when or if you find anything that could help me with this issue.

thanks a lot.

The particular dump you posted seems to have W:A waiting for a confirmation for exiting an online game, and I don't see anything odd about it.

"exiting an online game" ?

but at that moment I was waiting for a loaded map to enter a game? or maybe i'm not getting you right?

I'm just telling you what's in the minidump you posted. W:A is waiting for an answer to an OK/Cancel message box that says "Quit the current game.". It would show up if you hit Escape.

ok weird, I guess i'll have to live with it then.

thanks anyways :)

I thought you'd want to give it another go? Maybe you should wait to see if it's really a complete lock-up this time. hope it helps anyways, if not - i'll try another.

ohh ok I thought you didn't believe me :)

I'll post another dump when I'll get a lock-up. there's just one thing I'm not sure about - when I'm getting this lock-up I have no idea whether I'm still waiting to enter the game or if the host already kicked me - does it even matter?

thanks

That would be visible in the minidump.

but if I'm already kicked out, won't it be inutile - I mean, the minidump would just look normal?

The point is to snapshot the state of W:A while it's being locked-up - then, it's just a matter of seeing what code is currently running to find the reason of the lock-up.

It may be possible that the lock-up is caused by something other than the W:A process, for example antivirus or firewall software, or a device driver - then that might not be visible in the minidump.
