Hi,

first post here. Tried searching but can't find any posts with this same problem and a solution. I've been trying to get online for a while with no success.

When I connect to Wormnet I can see a list of channels and players but a window remains in front of this saying "working... please wait...". This continues for 90 seconds until it is replaced by an error popup reading "Fatal error during gameserver connection, disconnecting"

Now the fact that I can see the list of game channels and players suggests I am connecting successfully to Wormnet before being kicked off somehow. Has anyone got any suggestions?

I'm on the latest patch and using a genuine installed from CD version of Worms Armageddon. I'm using Windows XP SP3, windows software firewall, avast! antivirus, internet connection is Sky broadband through a standard Sky router.

Thanks,
Pete.

Could you record and post a packet log? See here (http://worms2d.info/Recording_a_packet_log) for instructions.

I'm having this same issue. This is when clicking on Autologin, everything loads and the messages on the bottom get to "End of /MOTD command." but "Please wait... working..." remains up for a minute or so, before the error.

I've recorded a packet log using packet peeper, I'm not sure about the format and what you'll be able to do with it. (there were two options for saving it, in tcpdump and peep, and I picked tcpdump. I added a .txt extension so I'd be able to upload it.)

Let me know if you have any ideas!

Sorry for the late response, I haven't noticed your post due to a vBulletin problem.

Would you happen to be [FatalErrorConne] from #Help (http://snoop.worms2d.info/#Help) yesterday? Anyway, you haven't mentioned it but you seem to be using OS X based on your choice of packet capture software. It's a known issue in Wine on OS X, see this thread (http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=2294;forum=1;mhl=83430;msg=83342) for more information.

I'm not [FatalErrorConne], but I guess other people have been having the same problem, since I posted in this thread (http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=2294;forum=1;msg=69800) the same day as I posted here, and then that new thread popped up a day or two later. Anyway, looks like those guys are on it, so I should be all set. I'll probably just switch back to wine 8.whatever for now...

cheers,
