Friendly Greetz Jona,

Look in your W:A CD to get the English soundbank.

BTW, please don't yell HELP in your thread title, it's considered rude and selfish.

I'm experiencing the exact problem this previous user did.
Looking forward to the new PC worms I reinstalled my armageddon but whatever language I chose on installing, the enemy worms were talking in french.

Pretty much everything else was in the correct language though.

Updated the game with the latest patch found on this forum, not sure if the problem came to exist before or after the update. When reading this topic I noticed my english soundbank was missing so I added it, but the worms are still talking french now, even though I copied the english soundbank from the cd and set my language to english again.

Hoping anyone knows how to fix this (and that I didn't look over an awnser while I searched for it yesterday)

Thanks

My enemy worms are also talking in French always whatever language I chose.

Try changing your computers regional settings.

Well that is the slightly odd thing...
My own worms are set to dutch, as by my regional settings.
And I can't seem to find where it's defined that the enemy worms should be talking french.

I'll try a clean install with my settings set on UK I guess.
Will let you know how it worked out.

EDIT: well... that was disappointing, the exact same thing happened, only this time the standard language for my main worms was english instead of dutch... the enemy worms were still talking french though.

I guess I'll just play it this way then, might refresh my french a bit!
Thanks anyway guys

RE-EDIT: ok now it worked, I changed regional, language and time setting to UK. Not sure wich of these 3 (or combinations of these) did the trick, anyway, problem solved. Thanks

RE-RE-EDIT: seems I never had to reinstall anyway, the language spoken by the worms is appareantly altered at start-up, and decided upon by one of the 3 above... this means I'll have to change all these settings every time I play worms... slightly annoying, but workable.

So for others that have this problem: just change your regional/time/language settings to an english speaking country when you run the game

or just narrow it down to the actual setting that defines it and then you only have to change 1 setting each time instead of 3.

Will do that and post it uphere for later reference.
Thanks franpa btw

In Windows Vista, it's the Location setting under Regional and Language Options that determines it. I'm almost certain that's the case, anyway.

Confirmed, tried it myself, too. Does anyone know if its possible to make CPU talk with voices like "soul man" or "team17 test" ? For example, is it possible to change your location to something that is not in the list? I would enjoy playing Worms with CPU that uses thespian voices! :D
