Is the save file (savegame.xom) compatible with both operating systems i.e. Windows and Mac? Can I transfer it from one to the other?

P.S. - I've skimmed through the FAQ and searched "save file" and "save mac" with no luck. In the case that this has been covered before, my sincere apologies.
