Oh yeah, here's my ideas:

Platinum Donkey

Thrown by hand and explodes and bounces on contact with any surface. It'll keep going for twenty seconds, or until it falls into the water. Make sure your own worms aren't in the way when using this devastating weapon.

Air Guitar

This weapon can go through walls, but doesn't make any explosions right off the bat. Waves of guitar are sent into the air, knocking back any worms in it's way. Very effective when in a cave-type stage, and have no other way to get to the enemy.

Garden Hose

This weapon does not have much range, but can be used to fill a depression with enemies in it with water in an effort to drown them. Also causes minor damage when sprayed directly on a worm.

Fire Hose

Like the Uzi, only it causes three times the damage, and is affected by the wind. It's one drawback is that it washes off poison on contact.

Wow. That's a lot of ideas.

the hop grenade. You throw it, and then you have 3 hops by pressing space, it just makes the grenade do a "double jump" in the air, or if timed right, it makes it bounce extra hard from the surface.

This would actually add playability to the game, something 99% of weapon ideas don't achieve.

For a loose definition of 'playability'. A weapon like that would actually be very hard to use beyond just hoping it gets right. I mean, sure, it could be mastered to give a huge advantage in a game, but this is Worms, not CoD4; it's meant to be a strategy game, not a how-well-can-you-throw-grenades game!

It's meant? Who says? Why are there grenade trainning misions? Why do many misions revolve around the ability to throw a grenade? Why? WA requires no more strategy than it requires skill, but I rather not argue this with you, please respect my decision, I've played this game religiously, I'm not just drawing assumptions from a couple of games against the CPU and basic game knowledge like you like to do.

And before you start your usual rage about me talking about WA, most weapon ideas revolve around WA, I'm pretty sure the OP is talking about WA. Run's page is about WA. So yes, this is all about WA, don't ***** about it.

The possibilities this weapon would open for attacks based on skill and creativity are endless, hence it's a playability weapon, because it enhances the ability to make a choice on how you want to play it.

It's not too hard. Learning curves made WA live until today, you'd be amazed on how simple things are to achieve to some people in the game, that is, if you cared enough to actually check, or investigate, or just have a bit of cuirosity beyond arguing on a forum about a game you barely play (I'm aware of the irony, but at least I have the experience to express myself precisely) I don't care if it puts casuals off, I said this weapon would add playability not simplicity.

You could drop it down a water pit only to bounce it so it gets in a cave. You could make effective triple wall bounces. Heck, you could even add clusters every time you hopped it for multi target damage. Or you could toss it down a pit, and just when it stops moving hop it so it hits the worm just above it. Maybe you could make it so the hop is always 100% vertical, and even then it'd be cool, to full power a semi horizontal shot through a small opening, goes just below a worm hiding on top of something and then space so it hops up to hit it with the right fuse.

When I make a point it involves more than a personal opinion, hence why provide you with questions to consider as well as examples.
I didn't want to argue about it, I only provided you with the reasoning and I was asking you to kindly not dispute them with your little experience on the subject.

As for what is funnier, I don't, I get a kick everytime I see you try get in trousers too big for your legs.

Tornado bomb-
placed like a land mine, sends any worm close enough to it flying across the landscape in any direction, onto mines into water etc. also moves any mines and barells in that immdiate vecinity.

Used like a grenade, only bigger, does more damage, doesnt bounce, but can roll a long distance depending on angle, shot power etc. a cross between a normal grenade and a sticky bomb.

Boomerang-
modified dragon ball, power it up and once it has reached the maximum limit, will return, just like a boomerang. will hit anything in its path, so handy for hitting worms in the boomerangs line twice, when its first thrown, and on its way back

Hypnodisk-
puts a worm to sleep, making him unable to compete for a certain number of turns, causing the affeted team to effectivly skip a turn. can be woken up with impact from a weapon, or when the timer is up.

something like a handheld cannon, with the appearence of an art. cannon. Instead of using first view person, this one is shot like air strike, with blimp view aiming...

ability to throw a weapon that has a parachute, the weapon will slowly fall in the direction of the wind until it reache sthe ground.if it has a fuse, it will work normally, if it is one of the living weapons(sheep, grammy, scouser), its fuse and movement will only start when it reaches the ground

Well that's notably overpowered. I mean, you can't have a weapon that's essentially "Get another turn", or there's no disadvantage whatsoever to using it.


But I would like to see one like that except, instead of skipping the turn, it skips the worm. Doesn't work when there's one worm left on the team though, I guess.

A bit like the nuke in MW2? They beat us to it! :)

This could be balanced if it just put ONE worm to sleep - the game allowing the rest of the team to continue playing, as if they had lost that worm.

the mexican wrestler mask

you use it near a worm, enemy or friendly, a barrel or even a mine (at your own risk). You worm grabs the whatever and then you have a launch bar (you can also move), just like a grenade or bazooka, and you throw whatever you're holding.

Predator missile- Controlled like a bunker buster except that it has the explosion radius of a holy hand grenade, but low damage of 25. Works well for killing a group of worms thanks to the huge explosion.


EMP- When used, reduces the damage of enemy weapons to 50% for 2 turns.

Throwing knife- Like a dragonball, only with increased distance, but weak power of 30.

Sniper Rifle- Like an upgraded shotgun but you can only fire it once. Long Range does 50 damage while short range does 30.

Care Package- chuck a marker for a huge crate with 5 randomly picked weapons in it. It can be stolen by the enemy.

Ok, I have a good one! So there is the buffalo, and the sheep already.

But how about a fish!

So when you are stuck underground surrounded by water, which happens to me a lot you release the fish, and it swims through the water, you can than blow it up at anytime like the sheep. This would be very handy for those times when you can not reach your opened with any other weapon.

So if you use it on land, than it just flops around on the ground and can be detonated like a strong grenade as it flops about!

I think this is a very practical, strategic, and funny weapon that adds to the worms collection of animal weapons!


What do you think Team17, you should add it!

Or the homing missile...yeah, but the missile is rather significantly different from the animal weapons. just doesn't have the versatility of remote detonation or manual control like with the aqua sheep.

EXACTLY, That's why my fish idea is so cool! Much better than aqua sheep!

you could even give it the ability as it swims to maybe jump out of the water, to detonate closer to the worm enemy!

Anybody else like this idea. How about team17, what do you think?

Much better than aqua sheep!except that the aqua sheep is versatile and usable in many situations. how often is there an enemy on the other side of a body of water that you find yourself needing something besides the homing missile or sheep? cause I've NEVER found myself in that situation.

The homing missile, and Aqua Sheep can go underwater although with the homing missile it does rely a bit on skill.....

Guess you do not play open warfare 2 much, this comes up ALOT and there is NO aqua sheep, and homing missile is no good in water!

Fish would be an excellent addition in this game.

Fish would be an excellent addition in this game. well if there isn't an aqua sheep then of COURSE the situation comes up. you're missing half the formula I'd mentioned that makes the fish irrelevant :p

and for the record, I've NOT actually played open warfare 2.

Isn't worms technically a kid's game?it's an all-ages game. it's like mario. it has no preference.

like boat or frogman (frogworm?) suit can make worms pass the water easily... by the way, when I get jet set, the game becomes really easy... I like ninja rope much more than that...

Also, how about a dynamite belt? When one of your worms equips it, they produce a dynamite explosion whenever they die. That would make the Kamikaze weapon so much more useful (and any other kamikaze move in general, actually).
Equipping it should have no real drawback, since it explodes only if you die, not when you take damage. You just have to make sure the opponents can't use it at their own advantage.

It would encourage more risky shots to get the enemies into water instead of on-land, so it's quite a good idea.

You just have to make sure the opponents can't use it at their own advantage.:eek: that's actually a fairly good idea. waste a turn to ensure you die with a nice big bang. would be useful when surrounded by enemies with no practical way out, or to keep a worm alive in close quarters. also dangerous to kill your own worms off in the process.

I don't know, with all that terrorism going around.

But yeah, I'd like to see more situational weapons in the game, to replace the variety of all-purpose explosives we had in Worms Armageddon. I think that's pretty much why things like the Ming Vase don't exist anymore, because although it was awesome, it's nothing else than a non-bouncy banana bomb that you can only drop.

The napalm grenade(no, it isnt like cocktail)
its like a grenade but unlike the cocktail it can explode and bounce and be set a timer
it will be great

One thing that i've always wanted would be a sticky throwable mine. It should be used mainly to help teammates destroy walls during their own turn (like normal mines do) without leaving the cover. or to block enemys path. Should work like regular mine (with 3 sec fuse) but have a weaker exlosion (to not make regular mine inferior).

Wow last reply seems to have been forever ago. I want to see awesome new weapons that have a wicked effect. Some of my ideas would be for a certain "upcoming worms game" These idea's are meant for a 3D game.

Projectile:
Lava Homing Missile - Red version of the homing missile that when explodes on contact it also acts like a petrol bomb leaving fire behind to burn the target.
Max Damage: 60 + Fire Damage

Sky Missile - A rare super weapon that acts like the homing missile but you chose up to 5 targets numbering it 1-5 as you choose (Same spot or different spots). When you shoot in the air the main missile explodes into 5 Homing missiles that proceed to their destinations.
Max Damage: 45 Damage per missile

Air Strikes Weapons:
Sky Tank- A very rare super weapon. Choose an area you want to attack. When used your worm will get onto a helicopter fully loaded with a mini-gun 300 Rounds and 5 Missiles (Non-Homing). You get 20 seconds to unleash hell on the terrain down below or if you use up all ammo before 20 seconds. Once finished you have 5 seconds to chose an area you want to land. You would get an overview of the map before the 5 seconds start though.
* A special thing to this would be while firing like crazy your worm would be saying really funny things along with the pilot saying funny things to. Team17 thats where you come up with the hilarious thoughts on that part lol.
Max Damage: 1 Damage per 1 Bullet, 35 Damage per missile

Godly:
Satellite Cannon- A rare Super Weapon. You select a target and once selected a huge blast comes down from the heavens blasting a straight line threw the terrain dealing massive damage to any worm it comes into contact with. Usually a 1 hit K.O. Unless the worm has massive health. If worm survives it will be left with radiation that will drain health until worm hits 0 health. Unlike poison this wont stop at 1hp. Though a worm would most likely not survive as it would be blasted into the water at the bottom of the terrain drowning the worm anyways.
Max Damage: 300 Damage + Radiation

Utilities:
TNT Crate - You select an area where you want this special crate to fall, when selected your worm will act like your using a skip-go then right before your opponents turn this special crate will fall where it was selected. Only you will see that it is a fake crate with a Armageddon Symbol flashing on it but your opponent will not. If collected it will instead explode doing massive damage and also ending your opponents turn.
Max Damage: 75 Damage

TNT Crate Shower - A Very Rare Super Weapon. This has same set up except a few differences. You chose up to 5 locations for TNT crates to drop. Once finished they will fall immediately. Best used by placing on enemy worms. If they come into contact on a worm when they fall they will auto detonate. If you choose not to place on any worms it will look like your just using a crate shower. There are 2 special differences when used to hit worms and not hit worms.
* Hitting worms will end your turn.
* Not hitting worms will not end your turn.
This is to not give away the fact they are TNT crates and not normal crates if not used to hit any worms.
Max Damage per crate: 50 Damage

Okay well there is some ideas :)

Also I want to see these make it into the new Worm game!

All the Air-strikes from worms Armageddon! Yes that includes Sheep Strike lol

Most of those are superweapons, even the "lava homing missile". 60 damage + fire is horribly unbalanced, especially if the projectile is homing.

The only ones with some potential are really the TNT crate (could be pretty useful if there was a way to completely hide the fact that you're using that weapon) and the helicopter attack (it's actually not that overpowered).

it's a bomb when it's thrown there come many tiny explosions and at the end there comes one BIG explosion.

EXTREME!!!
so it's a skull that has a black up side down cross on it's forehead and when it's used the worm holds it over his head. the sky turns red and the sea turns black and then there comes very loud death metal music and alot of demonic explosions explode all over the map and then there comes armegaddon and it ends with a one gigantic explosion. and after that everything goes back to normal

so it's a rotten apple that the worm eats. then he gets sick and pukes over the enemy worm and then he gets all better but the enemy worm loses life (WELL DUH)

the worm puts on a epic helmet and screams with a deep voice "release the kraken" while the worms put on a scared face, from the sky falls a giant chicken (like we all know chickens eat worms) and starts picking all the enemy worms and then explodes.

cant we have all the weapons from worms world party thrown in to the newer worms versions? i miss the mini gun/bungee rope/bow and arrow/flamethrower

a scuba diving suit that can swim across islands or swim underwater to get underneath stuff, has a fuel gage like the jetpack but with air meter
