I'm so sick of the BS, weak, whiny, loser idiots who have to quit the round as soon as they start to lose or they have no way to come back and win. Nothing infuriates me more than playing through a round for 20 minutes or more (into sudden death) and having others players quit seconds before they die, making the win not count for me. Likewise, even if it isn't far into a round, these same people quit early if they get any sort of disadvantage or appear to be losing.

Please institute some form of penalty for these people. Make it so one can't play for 20 minutes if they quit. Make them start the next game they play with half health. Make them start the round with available weapons missing. DO SOMETHING to create a handicap and discourage these losers from quitting, please!

However, I know this will probably never happen. It's just a game and that kind of foresight wasn't put into the game and this far along I doubt it will change. To that end, my only solution is to have a long memory and when those quitters show up, I just kick them from my game. The following is a list in progress of people I have personally experienced as quitters when they are losing or have lost. I realize sometimes the server drops entire games but that is usually at the beginning of a round; quitters due to losing are painfully obvious.

QUITTERS YOU PROBABLY DON'T WANT TO PLAY WITH OR GIVE THE TIME OF DAY TO:

You should get a chance to get rating points for losing. Improving the percentage of doing so based on the amount of times you've stayed through the whole game (in a game you lost).

Rating points being... what?

Why not give players a completion percentage next to their name in the lobby. Someone quits 3 of 10 games with the same opponent. He would have 70% and the other player would 100% since he didn't quit.
This way it would easy to see is likley to quit mid-game.

Totally agree. There should be something in place to stop them or deter them from quitting. I've got to the point where as soon as an opponent makes a mistake I half-expect "This game session is no longer available" to appear on-screen!
Like the idea of a delay before they can join another game - at least that would stop them moving from one match to the next.

they could do what EA do in fifa, which is allow you to set a DNF% search paramter, which means it wont allow quitters to find your matches and you there's, the only problem with this would be incase of some genuine disconnects and networks drops you sometimes(on fifa) get a DNF you didn't actually deserve

A percentage system should work in theory:

Someone who quits when losing is likely to find themselves in that situation a fair bit, otherwise they'd probably not resort to such measures in the first place. Those with a terrible connection who get dumped out of every other game are less attractive opponents, too, as everyone likes to finish a game (apart from quitters). Therefore, a completion percentage above 90-95% should indicate someone with a generally decent connection who is unlikely to quit when they're losing.

There'd be no need to disallow those with lower percentages from finding games and so on as the percentages would be clearly displayed by their player name. It would be up to other players to decide whether the percentage was high enough thereby allowing some player discretion.

It's not totally watertight but it would be an improvement.

I think the problem lies in the game not being able to tell who quit on who, so if you happen to play against a lot of quitters you would also have a low completion percentage.

perhaps they could have a record on their profile of their last 10 matches or so, who they played, and if anyone quitted the game or was played to completion, like a past history.

Have a "forefit game" option instead of quit, then that way thier win percentage will go way down.

While we are at it can we make it impossible to start hosting if your requirements arent met?

The second biggest annoyance is when someone is hosting for 4 players but starts the game with 2.

It's best not to have to seperate 2 player and 4 player games. Just have a lobby where everyone has to ready up and if you don't ready up, you get kicked.
