View Full Version : Why do I never get to go first?

Maybe it's just me, maybe there's a reason, or maybe its a glitch.

EVERY ranked game I ever play, I've always gone second.

For a long time I thought it was just because the host always got to go first (I never hosted). I didn't think it was quite fair, but assumed it was to encourage people to host games.

Today I hosted a game, and I STILL went second. I'm sure most of you agree who goes first can make a huge difference to a game, and normally means the second player to go only has 3 or 3.25 worms left.

The only way I've ever got to play first, is to play to a draw, and then I get to go first on the second game.

Who is supposed to go first? Is anyone else getting this problem? Is there anything I can do about it?

I've clocked up 100's of games. Never seen a first go.

This is very simple to answer........

The world hates you, you're probably atheists or something, may be even paedophiles.

This is why you never go 1st, as God will just not let you, as he knows your evil ways.

This is auto-programmed in to ALL games and even life itself. Stop being so evil and you may get to go 1st!!!!!

J 4 Joke... jeez I hope peeps see the funny side.

It's based on win ratio.

While you're in a lobby, before you start the game, do some math and you will see the pattern. If you've always went last, then that means you're opponent has always lost a larger percentage of games then you have.

I do not know what the tiebreaker is if the percentage is the same.

That would make sense, but I'm not that good! ;)

Some games I have a low win rate and still have gone second, I'm pretty sure I must have faced someone with a better win rate than me.

I'll keep an eye on that tho and see if it correlates.

I wonder if it has anything to do with ports being open/NAT type. That would be stupid for determining who goes first but logicial for choosing who the host should be.

I don't believe this. I noticed that I never go first about a week after getting the game, so I started paying attention to things like this...trying to figure out what was going on...It doesn't matter who has a better win percentage, I NEVER GO FIRST. In Crazy Crates i lost my first 4 matches, had a win percentage of ZERO and I never went first...how could my opponent have a lower win percentage than that?
