HeyguysI'mbacklol
Well, now that I have some time now in my hands, I bring you this worms sprite I made.
...Well, actually, I made it a few months back.

Aku gets a little prize for inspiring me to make it.

I dunno if I'm still gonna continue this... Should I?

It'd be cool if you made a .gif of each action so we could see them moving fluidly.
It'd also give us a chance to see the elongated pupils work, instead of looking odd in a still image.

Oh no. Sprite kits are back.

These are a lot better than mine were though. Good work.

not bad at all, though the transition sprite between the full jump and the full stand positions on my worm is a little too tall. looks too long compared to the jump or standing sprites. just shrink the torso a bit in height to put the head about half between the other 2 heads.

Pretty nice
I'm curious to see how that inclination on the Walking sprites would look fully animated

I did want to animate it myself, but I can't find any good animating programs beside gamemaker. What program do you guys use anyway?

I think VirtualDub (which is free) allows you to import a series of images to make a video or .gif of them.

JASC Animation Shop was my tool of choice back in the day. not sure if it's still available.

I use GIF Movie Gear (http://www.moviegear.com/), which is surprisingly handier than it looks.

Still got that bouncing about on my hard disk somewhere. It came with Paintshop Pro 8 if I recall correctly...

I use FLASH. With pixel tool.

It can do stuff.

Wait, there's a pixel tool in flash? Is it just some sort of plugin?...
Oh, and btw...

He looks like he's levitating a bit before falling, you may want to make that part a bit faster.
Other than that, awesome! :D

These are great! You've got really good skill with these.

I love the tiny night at the roxbury dance :D I think it's supposed to be walking, and in that case you've sort of failed, but the result is awesome anyway.

Lol, what Akuryou said, you should make him lean forward instead of backward. :)
Like, when he stretches his tail, also make him lean forward.

I've got no problem making the other animations, really. But its the walking part that I've always hated. IIRC, I did at least about 5 attempts on the worms sprite and 7 on Aku's.

And thanks for the comments by the way! :D

Oh, just found this on my photobucket, maybe it's of any help: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b381/Bananenworst/Squirmer.gif

The problem with your walking animation is that his head should tilt forwards, not backwards. The way you have it just looks wrong.

It doesn't apply to the flat-tailed worms like his though. Except for the neck.

It doesn't apply to the flat-tailed worms like his though. Except for the neck.even a flat-tailed worm would follow a similar principle. it may not be as directly copy-able as it would be to a curvy-tailed worm, but the idea remains the same and thereby it can still be used as a reference point.
