Everytime I try and play forts with a friend in private the game always switches to crazy crates... anyone else got this problem? or are my Raving days coming back to haunt me and I need to see a shrink?

Such a shame as it's my favourite mdoe and I can't play with friends unless we just keep gambling that we meet up in a public game at the same time.

Understandably your ****ed off at the bugs, but moaning about them won't do much either.

As this issue is important, there is no reason why it would not be fixed by them.

Actually, it's you're. People on this very board have been talking about how Worms Forts was suppose to be patched and never was, and if you look at the Facebook page, you'll see that they released the Worms game on iPhone, then four days later announced that they were working on a patch for it. It just seems to me that perhaps this company doesn't deserve the praise or loyalty that it's getting. Shame, too, because I really enjoy playing their games when I'm able to.

It would still suck if it was patched anyway.

And on the bugs page in discussion on FB, on the release day they said they'd look into the bugs, and then announced a title update 5 days later. If what your trying to say is that you doubt team 17 will release this patch, I must say that is incredibly stupid. Sorry.

No, that isn't what I'm trying to say. I'm trying to say that they released two games very close together that both require patches immediately. I'm trying to say that perhaps they should more thoroughly test their products. You're right, I am angry because I can't play the game I bought and I also cannot get my money back. If this would've been a more popular release, like a Halo game, imagine the amount of coverage it would get. Any business model that involves patching as soon as a game comes out should be heavily criticized.

And once again, you+are=you're.

There's a difference though, Worms Iphone doesn't have many major bugs at all. Worms 2 Armageddon does.

You can't expect games to go without bugs.

Actually, you can expect games to come out without bugs like these. Most do. I really am a rather nice, civil guy. This just really, really ticks me off.

Then people are wrong. Try harder to be right. Your is possessive, it is something of yours. You're is the conjunction of you and are. Difference.

This is out of Team 17's hands, if you want a refund phone microsoft. It is unlikely they'll give anyone refunds though.

Are the worms 2 armageddon bugs really Team 17's fault, though? the game went through an approval process for months, maybe testing was done in that approval process by microsoft or something.

WOW 2, WOW, and Worms A Space Oddity and other games have barely any bugs, so the fact that it is apparently Team 17's fault for the bugs is weird.....

No, i'm not saying they are flawless. They aren't the perfect company and they do need to make it up for people such as persuading microsoft to offer free DLC.

And now YOU'RE mentioning this too much.

Small point: if you've bought a product in the UK and it does not meet expectations, and in particular, does not work, you are entitled to a refund within a reasonable period of time, so Microsoft would have to offer one.

In a nutshell, yes. If I bought a new Mac from, say, PC World and it didn't work it would be Apple's fault, not PC World's, however I would approach PC World for a refund.

Different platforms, different development schedules, maybe even different staff working on the games (one of the WOW/WOW2 games was developed out-of-house, and I believe that one was the most bug-free)

Anyway, this is getting grossly off-topic. Any more posts about the lack of patch, or any posts that aren't to do with the implementation of Forts mode are likely to be removed and/or huge infractions issued (excluding posts from T17 staff and mods, since they can't be infracted :p)

Thank you. Finally someone who isn't just expressing blind loyalty.

It really doesnt seem as Team17 spent much effort into developping this game with all the bugs thats been reported here... cheap game or not, when you publish something it should be working otherwise you didnt do your job well...

And no, Microsoft is not to blame if a game wasnt thoroughly tested :).

Ok, the private forts/crazy crates issue is top of the list to be fixed. The issue made its way through the approval process due to a last minute fix which had unforeseen circumstances.

In the meantime, you can create your own Forts scheme to play privately by customising a scheme to have your own weapons and choosing the landscape type as "Forts" in the custom scheme options.
