No, I think more 3D worms would be the mockery. The only real way to experience worms is in 2D.

Going to 3d was de-evolving. Going back to 2d is evolving to perfection again.

3d does not mean better, young padawan. Worms is a game that works the best in 2d.

100% agree... maybe it is personal feeling, but I really like worms in 2D, it is better control and easy to count the weapon effect...

3D is not good for aiming, like in some angle, you think you can shoot the enemy's head, but bullet is blocked by the wall just lower than the worms head! :eek:

Every game has the optimal game-mechanic in which it works best. Game perspective is not just perspective, it does determine gameplay. 2D is just right for Worms IMO and I agree with people that have said that going to 3D in Worms was de-evolving. I'm really happy about new Worms 2D for PC. The Worms game I enjoyed the most and longest was the original Worms on Amiga.

3D worms is easier to find hiding spots and requires more skill.

Whilst 2D worms is classic, and i prefer it. Worms Armageddon is better on PC compared to PS1, looks better more to do and more weapons. Petrol Bomb :D

3D just doesn't work in Worms, unless they manage to re-build the engine from scratch so that the physics and visuals don't suck so much.

Quite a few people like 3d, more than you'd think. Though 2d fans are shown a lot more here. I like 3d more than the 2d games. Maybe because I'm not a person who likes playing strategy games that much (though I do play some).
