How it Work?

Now for run game use W4MapLauncher.exe, which have a select of MapPacks(Standard, 85+ or User) and Aspect mode (4:3 / 16:10)

The total number of maps is 85 + standard maps of W4.
You can to play on the new maps in multiplayer or on-line
(if the opponent patched his game too and W4MapLauncher.exe had one choice).

Technical details

For those who want to know how it works: W4MapLauncher.exe load to WORMS 4 MAYHEM.exe their library w3dmapper.dll, which monitors whether there is next to the map file .w3dt, and if such a file there, it creates a texture file and copies the correct texture to a temporary folder. Neither the original file does not change the game!

Great work, AlexBond, but everybody should be notified that it does not work with every W4 executable. MD5 hash of working version:

If it'll be different, there is big chance that texture change and aspect ratio will not work :( Like with Czech executable... I helped AlexBond with testing, so I know this very well.

Once again: maps only work online if the other players have the same map.

hey how are you alex bomd can you tell me the program you used to design the map and tell me how to add them when im finished to my map listand if i made a good mapp ill attach it to this same thread

He used the:W4MapLauncher v.1.085 map maker(or just i think it is)
But I know another one:W3DEditorv2.0(I have that).With this you can crate or modify maps for worms 3D and worms 4.So it`s a good thing
I don`t know exactly where can donwload it (or them).Sorry.

I do not have all version of the Worms4!!! Game have many versions and all EXE is different, I will not write launcher for all versions...

Honestly, do you expect him to buy every copy of W4 from througout the world?

AlexBond is doing a great job with this. He isn't being paid and is doing this entirely for the community. Demanding for more is just plain rude. You should be thankful it exists in the first place, and it at least half-works on your game!

I not see here problem, You can import W4 Objects from other *.xan maps, what objects you want? About Folder W3D, I not will do it.

But the ditor says I cant ,u know.I really would import them, if could.And could you discribe it a bit better acctually I understand everything u say but i cant follow u in this part ?

Menu -> File -> Import Map.. -> Open

For import you need drag object from ImportMap Tree to Map Tree.

And this topic not about W3DEditor!!!!!!!!!!!!

3dsmax not work with Poxel, all 3DEditors work with Polygons, but if you have model in 3ds format you can import it from W3DEditor v2.2 to poxel format.

I`m sorry,but I don`t think he`d have a costume editor(or if exists,I think is just for Worms 3D).He only knows crate maps and things for them.(At least I know.)

Of course you can,just get the editor and copy exacly the map.That`s all XD.

UH... Alex bond! I just downloaded the w4m map pack but the textures on the worms 3D maps aren't worms 3D textures They are worms 4 textures. so cood you copypaste and send me the worms 3D textures from your computer to Viktorgood@hotmail.com if that does work

I'm from Germany and the latest version didn't feature original Worms3D textures for our country, so I'm wondering: Does the program only import the textures for the maps or also for the sky? (would be great for W3D space levels in W4)

My bro bought it off ebay by the seller sold-out. They sell games cheap!

It works but now I can't see the Worms 4: Mayhem videos anymore. Why?

And when I put the 16:10 resolution the names of the Worms flicker. Why?

Anyway these things are not important, I just wanted to congratulate with you for your damned good job. Worms 4: Mayhem has better gameplay, but Worms 3D has better maps design.

Uh, the maps' textures don't display right... when Worms 3D Textures are on or off, the only difference is that when Worms 3D Textures are on, the video is shrunk to a fourth of my screen size.

I still don't know how to play with maps from Worms 3D. What do I need to do? Place them into some folder? Tell the launcher in what directory they are?
