I just had this very odd glitch on worms. Here is what happened:

Throughout my online game I started hearing weird static, then I started hearing broken up music.

After that there was an odd voice and the music stopped breaking up and just played, the worms game was playing the Gorillaz song "Feel Good Inc." from my TV?

I should mention that i DON'T have a microphone. So how is this possible? Could my opponent have a mic and is his mic audio stream able to sound through the TV?

Haha that's not a glitch, it's a feature for players that don't have headsets. Your opponent's voice is played through whatever speakers are connected to your PS3/TV. It's not very loud though, I have to turn down the music and sound effects volume to lowest and then turn up my audio system.

Wormetti pretty much hit the nail on the head. And the static and sketchy music would've been a connection hiccup.
