I just bought 2 copies of Worms 2 to play online with a pal from out of state, and we can create a room and game without a problem-However, when one of us tries to join a game it just counts indefinately- I researched the problem online and it seems to blame routers and firewalls, so we both wired our modems straight to our computers and turned our firewalls off. Is there anything else this could be? I love this game and want to play!

i sent a budget - sold out - version of this game to my fiancee so as we could play, we're both in the same room and both have teams

but "ceat\host new game" just takes me to a room where no one else seems to be able to be. i am with my girl on skype, we kno wwhere each other are, but can't seem to be in the same game

otherwise, we click join game that one of us has already started, it just serches, forever. sometimes, she's in the creat game window, and i'll be one the serch for game window. there seems to be no option that gets us both playing O.o

You need to configure your firewalls and/or routers. This game was made before either of those became popular, and so assumes that anyone can connect to your computer at any time. Nowadays this is almost never the case, so you need to do some configuration to make it work for Worms 2. There are some vague steps here: http://liksi.com/router.htm . If you need more info about the first part (configuring the router), look at one of the guides on portforward.com for your own router, replacing the port mentioned in whatever game you choose with the port on the previous page. I also recommend disabling your firewall, they aren't needed for much in modern environments if you have a router. If you know how to, however, unblocking that port in the firewall or allowing Worms 2 to act as a server should work as well.
