In-game, my custom 1680-1050 resolution runs perfectly, but on any sort of menu the entire left side is clipped off, and everything seems zoomed in. Running windows XP, Patch 3.6.29.0.

Your font sizes are set to a large value. W:A does not support non-standard font sizes. Open the Display Properties Control Panel applet, click Advanced... on the Settings tab and set font sizes to Normal size (96 DPI).

Mine is set to 96 DPI, and yet the entire left side is still clipped off. I can still move my mouse over there, but I can't see anything. This makes it really difficult to edit maps, change settings, etc.

So is there any other solution to this? Can I run the game in a window? I really wouldn't mind that. I've been playing this game forever and just recently found it again, and would like to play some hotseat games or just solo.

Could you post an example screenshot? You can take screenshots in the game with the Pause/Break key, they'll be saved to the User\Capture folder.

Is your monitor correctly adjusted for a 640x480 resolution?

The screenshot I took just looks like a regular 640x800 screen of the front end. Is there anything special I have to do for my monitor to display that size? Its widescreen, runs everything at 1680x1050.

I think that Cyber meant he wanted to see what you see. Any way to take it in photo ? :o

No, I didn't. Since W:A is displaying the image fine on the virtual screen, something's at fault with your computer (software or hardware configuration) which causes W:A to appear distorted. Try adjusting your monitor.
