When I start up the program the screen goes black, I can hear the music from WA playing the background but nothing appears. Then the outline of a white box appears so I ctrl alt delete and shut down the program. My computer (XP) resolution is now set to 8-bit, this happens repeatedly.

I tried changing hardware acceleration but it makes no difference. Thank for the help!

When the white box appears, did you try pressing enter or escape? if you move the mouse over the white box does the mouse courser become visible?

I can see a mouse, when I try to go by the white box it disappears, hitting enter or escape does nothing, only force shutting down the program will close it. I have the VMware tools that were installed with the program, are their additional ones I can add or update them with?

Check that the "Autofit" view options are off.

It is a virutal PC option, look in the various Virtual PC menus.
