View Full Version : Predictions for 2009

As it is not a leap year, I predict that 2009 will have 365 days
Christmas Day will occur on a Friday. Because Boxing Day occurs on a Saturday, there will be a Bank Holiday on the 28th December to compensate.
My birthday will occur on a Sunday, the Sunday after Easter Sunday as it happens, which will occur on the 12th this year for whatever reason it keeps getting shifted around the calendar.
The days will get longer until June 21st, when they will start getting shorter again*

Who said prediction was a mug's game?

* only applicable in the Northern Hemisphere.

I predict that it's going to suck.
Except for a short period around march when Watchmen appears on theaters.
The rest of the time it'll be suckage.

I predict that the longest night of the year will be the night of the 21st - 22nd of December in the Northern Hemisphere.
I predict that I will turn 19 on the 22nd of December - when days start getting longer.
I predict that I will be rejected from Cambridge University, a prediction I hope will be proven wrong.

I predict that Barack Obama will become the first West Ham supporter ever to become President of the USA.

Thousands of years ago they'd've been erecting stone circles in my honour for predictions like those :p.

Or they'd have said "Christmas? What the hell is that?".

I predict we will get at least one (1) new forum member who will be following in the footsteps of the old line of asșhats like Fwd. Adm., T_Magdi, trippenz, franpa, Plasma or Shadowmoon.

What the hell will it take to get people voting Lib Dem in this country?

The Conservatives are a party who think Ann Widdecombe is a viable politician. I don't trust them to run the country any more than I do Labour. Whatever happens, having a third party with a realistic shot at government could only be a good thing.

It's funny that this thread popped up a day after I started a blog of vague, pointless predictions.

http://fredtheseer.blogspot.com/

On the subject of the Lib Dems, I watch the BBC news everyday and I haven't a clue who their leader is nowerdays. They get zero coverage.

Is that guy even doing tv anymore? Last time I saw him was when he got a show where he played the same character as he did in friends, but now as a main character, and the only episode I watched was epic fail, I kinda expected his career to plummet to the ground shortly after.
It's been some years since that and I haven't really kept track of that.

There is a special rule preventing actors from Friends being successful in other shows. It's called The Everyone Who Was In Friends Is Actually Not All That Good But Friends Was Well Written I Mean Matthew Perry Is Pretty Good In Studio Sixty But People Didn't Watch That Because It Was A Bit Clever For A Comedy Rule.

studio 60 was pretentious tripe that occasionally ascended to the ranks of good television

Oh yes, my mistake. Clearly I was getting confused because I watched it and enjoyed it and because it was written, produced and acted by many of the same people who made The West Wing, which was a huge ratings success and actually broke records because nobody could seem to lavish enough awards upon it. But your unsupported and unpunctuated assertion has made me see the light.

Next time I want to form an opinion of something I'll just email you and ask you what to think.
