hello,

when i play a game the utilities (jetpack, low grav..) are available on the key left to the backspace key. i would like to have it on the key left to "1" below escape. i dont know what this key called like. so i tried to change the registry (tweaks folder). i dont know if LegacyUtilityKey_On or LegacyUtiliyKey_Off is the right task. i tried both and nothing happened.
does anybody know a reason for it?

thank you

flint

Try installing the U.S. English Keyboard layout, if it's not installed already.

thank you for the answer! but that would cause that i couldn't perform my mother tongue properly :(

i find it very strange that everyone else has utilities on the key below escape. maybe it has something to do with windows vista which makes me suffer sometimes.

You don't need to uninstall your native language, or use it when playing W:A - it should just be in the list of languages available to switch to. W:A uses the U.S. English keyboard layout to determine where the ` key is on your keyboard.

Install English U.S. then set your original language as the Default.

Hm, I have only installed Austrian German there and I do have the utility key next to '1'. :/
Maybe because I use an English version of XP?

Doesn't the English version of Windows XP have the English keyboard layout as the default one? Would be weird if it hadn't.. So yeah, you probably had it pre-installed. :)

Oh!
I checked again and I actually have the US layout installed too.
Strange, I normally uninstall it right after the first reboot on a fresh system.
