I'd like to load this replay, but I get a playback error:

"version error: cannot play game file .....wagame"


any ideas guys?

Install the latest Beta update. This replay uses the 3.6.29.0 logic version.

Works fine for me. The only thing I can imagine is that you're not patched to 3.6.29.0 and the game was recorded with the latest version. Get the update and try again?

but I have .28 for the reasons you yourself have listed (bugs, temporary limitations).

with the .28 is it possible at all to open .29 games?

It's not possible, because 3.6.28.0 EXE doesn't know about the changes in the game engine that happened after it was released.

You can install both versions in the same W:A directory. Backup the 3.6.28.0 EXE, then install 3.6.29.0, rename that EXE and copy back the 3.6.28.0 one.
