I am having the same problem. The autorun kicks in, i click install, i accept the T&Cs, it asks me if i want help and then nothing.

I have tried the following:-
Installing and running the alternative installer from this website, but all that happens is a DOS prompt box opens saying it cant find the CD drive.
Copying the autoexec.nt file from the repair folder into the system32 folder (it was already there).
disabling the Direct memory access controller in the control panel.
Runnning the windows compatibility wizard and setting the default as windows 95.

The last one had an partial effect in that as i ran the install icon it started to install some components, but a lot of the foldeers seemed to be empty. and when i ran the worms2 program it actually turned into a black screen with i think Windows C++ library message.

i am close to sending it back so any help you could give would be appreciated

You aquired copyright material without paying for it, the cd check is only a very small portion of what you pay for. Currently downloading the game from anywhere other then Trygames, is illegal.

Have you tried finding the W:A installer program on the disk and running it directly? It should be separate from SoldOut's Autorun launcher.
