Well I asked a similar question about the Sold Out Software packaging a while ago, but I have another question now (I wish these companies would actually be specific about their stuff!).

The Worms Triple Pack (http://www.amazon.com/UBI-Soft-Worms-Triple-Pack/dp/B00006ANZ2/ref=dp_ob_title_vg), does it utilize jewel cases? Original CDs? Compilation DVD? Does it have the manuals?

Thanks. Yet another friend I want to convert to Wormism and I'd like to know if this is a fair buy or if I should get a mix of the others.

Have a look at the picture on the page you linked.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/514X9SJ9MTL._SS400_.jpg

At the bottom you see a symbol with some text indicating that the box contains 4 discs.
Three game discs and one for the Worms Blast demo, I'd guess.

The games are probably the original ones (perhaps v3.0 pre-patched for WA) and it's likely that patches and additional stuff are on the discs too.
The manuals most likely are on the discs as PDFs.

And there most likely aren't any jewel cases, just the DVD box with the discs stacked on top of each other. But on the bright side, the community has mostly taken care of manuals, tech support and additional information on the http://worms2d.info/ wiki and this forum, so that's not a bad deal overall.

You should check out Squirminator2k's awesome custom covers for W2, WA and WWP if you want each game in its own DVD case:

Also, you can snatch the game manuals from the Trygames page in case they are not available as PDF on the disk:

Thanks. Yeah, I'm thinking the CD box is like, well.

Is anybody here a Myst fan? If so, remember the original CD verison of Riven? A double-width CD case with a flipping section so that four can fit.

It could be anything: from the cheap method of having three of the CDs in sleeves, to what you suggested, to having four overlapping CD slots.
I'd expect the first of that list. The latter are usually only done by games with a lot of PR.

It's a DVD case with the 3 game CD's and a Worms Blast demo in, and the manuals are PDF's on the discs. The W:A is a version 3.0, so will need updating.

Well then, StoneFrog, get 2 or 3 additional, empty DVD cases and print the S2K covers with a laser printer.

I assume they're the original discs, not like the Sold Out redestributed ones?

The disc art does differ slightly and I'm pretty sure the WA comes pre-patched to version 3.00 like it does in all recent releases, whether in packs such as this or not. None of that should be much of an issue, though, since there's no shady third-party installers involved.

I assume they're the original discs, not like the Sold Out redestributed ones?Pretty much, except they have a PDF folder with manuals in various languages in.

Upon checking, the 3.5 beta update appears to be on there, but i'm looking at the contents of an ISO i made of it years ago when my drive could just about still read it so i may have added that myself. The disc itself it unreadable now, so i can't check.

I have the Battle Pack, which is what the Triple Pack is called in europe. The W:A installer is the same as on the original disc, not one of those Sold Out type ones, but the boxart is different so i dunno if the CD art is also.
