There's no other way to do it, except using screen capture programs like Fraps or Hypercam.

Use the extract video option then import the whole slide show into Virtual Dub.
You can then easily edit it and save it as a video file with various compression codecs.

It's the video only, so if you want the audio too, your only chance is using a screen capture program.

You can set the frameskip to 2 (in the extract video dialog). That way the extraction process goes twice as fast and you still get a 25fps video.

He could just start an application to record the system sound (i.e. Stereo Mix) while running the replay and then just mix the audio stream with the video stream.

I, for example, run NCH Broadcom to stream audio from one PC to another. This way I can capture audio with one PC without additionally stressing the computer running the replay. I get a smooth, high quality sound file that I mix with the previously exported replay frames.

Also, this helps better broadcasting of live games. You can use a camera on a TFT screen to broadcast video and an audio server for audio broadcasting. This way you can play and broadcast without stressing the system.
