These may have been reported already...

1) Running as an Administrator prevents Minimizing in the Front End. It will Minimize but no way to restore it and alt-tab does not list it either o_o I am forced to close it via the Task Manager.

2) Without Admin Privilege I can minimize and restore 'but' the Front End stops responding to the mouse, you can move the courser around and stuff but clicking stuff does nothing. Escape still works So I assume keyboard input still functions.

3) Minimizing in WormNET and Restoring results in IIRC a DirectX bug where everything is black but certain text is white, Minimizing & Restoring does not solve this issue, the issue stays in effect upon Restore.

Various compatibility options have no impact on these observations such as WindowsXP SP2 Compatibility mode, Disable Desktop Composition, Disable display scaling on high DPI settings and Disabling Visual Themes.

EDIT 1: the first 2 observations where made at the title screen, the one that wears the name Worms Armageddon on it in the top center.

EDIT 2: Minimizing during gameplay works fine, even at resolutions above 1024x768.

Press space and then try using the mouse. It should work.

Also, on your WA shortcut, go to properties and disable visual themes and see if that helps you with the other issues.

I have updated my first post to be a bit clearer, oh and Muzer spacebar does nothing and re-read the last bit before my edits in the first post.

Why are you reporting a bug people know about? Minimizing is still unstable. Has been since implementation.

But we're actually trying to fix it now.

The second bug is known and has already been fixed for the next Beta. Could someone confirm the first and third bug?

Because it has been shown with 3.6.28 and 3.6.29 that stability improvements can be done! the minimize function works perfectly under XP now, it was a huge improvement over 3.6.25 which didn't work that well when minimizing in XP.

I should note that I have applied full permission (security policy) to WA.EXE which means there is no reason to "run it as an administrator". (Note: the game is not installed in Program Files.)

I assume the UAC prompt ****s up WA's initialization process since that is the only difference between running it as a User and running it as an Admin under my circumstances.

On Home Premium 64b with WA.exe having visual themes disabled

1) It was true last beta but on newest beta I can minimize and maximize without any problems in the frontend. Only thing being that I can't click on anything unless I first tap sapce or esc. It is completely fixed for future versions.

2) 1 applies

3) Never happened

Does Disable Desktop Composition and Disabling Visual Themes affect "Aero (basic)"? and does Disable display scaling on high DPI settings affect anything when DPI is at default setting?

I have Aero disabled. Forgot to mention.

Its just a general question, because I notice no change in windowed programs when those options are enabled...

Well, I just tested it and Disabling Desktop Composition affects Aero but not Aero (Basic), disabling themes doesn't seem to do anything at all o_o

I think it might still affect some files you need admin access for, such as win.ini and the registry...

Pecuiliar, the first time the game is run per Windows Session, you can minimize as often as you want in the front-end and the mouse will work fine.
