Alright guys. I quitted WA on 2005 cos i found a better game but now that game has became way too good to my pc / laptop so i've been thinking on getting back to WA after a long break.

Im not a nerd so can someone spend a few minutes on this and tell me step by step what i need to do to make this game work on my laptop which isnt so good but i think its enough good for this game.

My pc's specifications are here:

Acer
Aspire 5315
Intel (R) Celeron(R) 540 @ 1.86Ghz
2,00 Gb
32-bit
G - card it says : Up to 358MB Mobile Intel Graphic Media Accelerator X3100

I'd be helpful to have like a few links where to download the right fullversion and then where i can find the patches etc. Remember, explain it very simply i hardly kno **** about computers.

Thanks, and i hope i can get to play this game again.. do you guys still play Shoppa or roper? aah..good times.

Greetings,
xRAWx if any of you remembers :]

We can't 'give' you the full version but you can buy a copy for dirt cheap from the team17 online shop.

If your card is made for intel mobile, your chipset is most likely intel mobile. It won't ever work if this is the case. No matter what you do.

Start -> Programs -> Acessories -> System Tools -> System Information. look in there for what your video card is.

He already knows what his card is. He needs to find out what his motherboard chipset is.

Start>Run>Dxdiag

Alright mate, it found some details about everything now. What do you need to know?

Im afrraid its what you think it its..cos now it says my g-card's name is :

Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family.
Where do i face this problem actually if i'd try to install this game etc.? Cos obviously it works on vista but i have wrong g-card rite?

Thanks for your time folks.

You have the wrong motherboard and card I'm afraid.
Worms will work on Vista as long as you're not on an intel chipset mobile chispet for laptops.

When you boot the game, it will just go onto a black screen.

Three solutions.

1) Upgrade to XP or linux (yes, the word upgrade was intentional) (requires an XP or linux CD)
2) Emulate W:A (http://worms2d.info/Emulating_Worms_Armageddon), if your PC is reasonably fast (almost all PCs nowadays should be fast enough) (requires CD for an older Windows operating system that WA can run on)
3) (risky) install XP drivers for your graphics card. This will remove Aero, but cause W:A to work. WARNING: This only works for some people, others get a blue screen of death on boot, so be in a situation where you can fix this kind of thing if you want to try this.

Install VirtualPC 2007 or VMWare Workstation 6.5, configure them for WindowsXP, install WindowsXP within VMWare or VirtualPC, load up XP inside them and install the game, play.

Muzer linked to this above, it really is the easiest way. http://worms2d.info/Emulating_Worms_Armageddon

I have 2 solution that worked for me, sometimes when vista shows wrong color. Press esc and minimice the game and get back in game, now sow correct color. After installed latest ATI driver for my Vista 32 ( DNA and from ATI ) i get black grey glitches in screen. Solution was change the resoltion in worms. IT have to be diffrend as in windows.
