Is it possible to add a Legacy rope mode (Worms 2 mode) in the next WA beta? I know there is a 3rd party app for doing so, but it would have been nice to have it in the game it self.

I am totally for this.
My vision is that with v4.0's modal structure of the new front-end and enhanced customizability we would be able to completely simulate all other 2nd generation Worms games in terms of front-end, weapons, specific physics and behavior or even version specific glitches.

I think that one should get reactivated and stickied.

Most definitely.
We need an "On the moon" mode like in the Playstation version of WWP, only more customizable.

Not before the game has been switched to 32bit colours.

Try pressing Alt + Del in-game to toggle transparent name tags and you'll see that palleted colours don't allow much. The transparent colour looks odd on a lot of landscape themes.

No.
256 colours. Palleted.
Only 112 colours maximum are available for the user in a map.

One other thing I'd like in the next beta is camera shake when there are exploisions like in Worms 1! I've always loved that

That was the other thing that i forgot to post!! I was just thinking about it when i played online. It is such a drag on some maps to scroll around the map to find the worms on the map. That's why zooming is a must!

Yep, camera zooming is indeed necessary.

Other things from W1 that I'd like to see again:

Vertical parallax scrolling of the background.
W1 had two layers of background imagery that showed vertical parallax scrolling relative to each other and to the foreground.
Terrain debris.
In W1, after an explosion that destroyed the soil, there were a few small, white pieces of debris flying around that even stayed after your turn.
"Annelid bones" after a worm's death.
In W1 the worm's "bones" stayed on the terrain after it self-destructed.

Another thing from Worms 1: Port the rest of the terrain themes. In W:A we have -desert, -hell, -beach, -forest etc. I would love to see the mars, snow, jungle, junk, candy and alien themes from Worms 1 in W:A. :D

(IIRC, Squirminator2K ported them all to WDC, BTW.)

Weather effects like rain and snow would have been nice to include. Also a blueish overlay to make it seem darker (like in Worms Blast)

Yup, I have suggested all the Worms Blast weapons and features before.
Especially the laser! The original sprite already exists, as seen in my avatar.

The torpedo could be implemented as an underwater strike against darksiders.
And weather effects like fog, wind and rain could be used as weapons to hinder enemies or blow them into the water or mine fields.
