Keane is out with a new album called 'Perfect Symmetry'

I personally love it! My favourite track is the title track: Perfect Symmetry! It's a fantastic song! It's also the most 'keane sounding' track on the album ;)

Anyone bought it? What are your thoughts? Is it too different or just awsome?

I have the album and it's pretty good.

There's alot of good songs on there. Only dud I think is Pretend You're Alone. Just gets on my nerves.

Lovers Are Losing, Perfect Symmetry, Love Is The End, Playing Along and Better Than This are fantastic. Problematically, the album is abit front loaded. Meaning all the best songs, on initial listen, are right at the beginning. Same is true of the latest KOL album. Takes a few indepth listens to appreciate some of the later tracks.

I'm going to see them live in February.

I haven't got this one. I have Hopes and Fears, which I like but hardly ever listen to as it now seems a bit slow and samey, preferring the variety and upbeat tempo of Duke Special for my piano-based listening. Is this one significantly different?

I thought Victory for the Comic Muse was front-loaded at first, but to be honest, the back end of the album is fantastic. It's just not remotely accessible and I can see how they thought that putting one of those tracks at the start would leave people wondering what the hell was going on.

It's more up-beat than the two previous albums! It sounds fresher and glader actually ;)

I brought one of their albums, "Regeneration". I annoyed myself tho, turned out it was the album when they chose not to sound like they normally do. Argh. Oh well, it's an alright album, very acoustic based.

It's generally agreed to be their worst album by some way (if you exclude Fanfare For The Comic Muse that nobody hears since the singer for a long time hid it and refused to recognise it). Personally, I like it and I like what I've heard of Fanfare, and a couple of songs on Regeneration are really good. Bad Ambassador I really like.

I'm trying to listen to some of Perfect Symmetry on YouTube, but it's hard not to just sit here listening to Tim Minchin songs for hours on end.

I brought it for £3 in a second hand CD shop with The Lemonheads - Creator and Death In Vegas - Contino Sessions. They both sucked, but DC was good.

Hahaha. Tim Minchin is fantastic. I've been listening to Bloc Party, Ryan Adams and Jakob Dylan today. BP's new album came in the post today, it's pretty good, but the album art is pretty horrible. Ryan Adam's is alright, but it's weak compared to his other stuff. Jakob is not bad. Need to give it more time.
