There doesn't seem to be a very positive and constructive attitude as it was earlier. 80% of the comments I got on the Baby Worm (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?p=672845#post672845) i made was just negative.

Does anyone else share my opinion?

That's because you didn't knock up something in 30 seconds in Paint and declare it your best work ever. :p

And a lot of the Fanart forum people don't know good art when it slaps them in the face.

meh. you put too much work into it for just a quick doodle and not enough work into it for a full piece of work. the result is funky and confusing. I don't think anyone knows what to say in response :p

that and the fan art forum just hasn't been as lively recently.

Thanks bonz, I really liked your comment! :)

I don't see anything wrong with Aku's post and/or attitude. He's giving honest criticism to your drawing.

Your drawing displays a good effort at shading, but the end result isn't very interesting.

You shouldn't take the criticism so badly, we're just giving our honest opinions, that is all. :)

the issue with fan art has mostly to do with the fact that everyone there sucks now

That's why its not fun anymore in the fan art forum. That kind of attitude!what? helpful? you would prefer we blindly say how awesome you are regardless of actual quality of work?

Kjatte, the whole forum isn't as active or interesting as it used to be. Unfortunate but true.

I think it's the fact that T17 haven't released a game worth playing since W4M and haven't released a game worth playing for extended periods since WWP :p

No, but to me it felt like you only pointed out the negative.

No, but to me it felt like you only pointed out the negative.the shape of the worm is the negative. the shading looks decent but with the wonkiness of the shape it's really hard to tell. there's nothing left of the picture aside from outline and color, so I couldn't really comment on much else :p sorry

Fair point, Nathan. Don't take it personally, Kjatte :) People do still appreciate your efforts, but it's easier to just post constructive comments and forget to say well done.

I agree with you, BTW, Nathan, about Worms. I don't like to criticise Team17 too much but I would like to see more titles from them that aren't about worms.

and from wormatty's post, I feel I should say: I'm not trying to discourage you or your attempts. I'm just an exceedingly blunt person. if I think something I'm just going to say it without dancing around the words to try to word it so it sounds better while still saying the same thing. I don't mean to be insulting to you at all, but rather to encourage improvement in your drawings.

try not to take anything I say for the way it's worded cause i often make things sound a lot worse than I mean them to. instead try to read what I'm saying and take it to mean exactly that. (unless it's obviously sarcasm, of course, but I do my best to make that as obvious as possible.) I do my best to get my point across rather than wording it so it sounds as benign or inflammatory as I'm intending it to. it's one of the reason I so often have to explain my arguments multiple times before anyone fully grasps my point. like I'll probably have to do with this post here :p

That's OK Akuryou! I understand.

Now everyone, lets just forget about this!
