Hi,
I recently bought a pack of Worms 2 and Worms Armageddon, however I've had a few problems playing them. My laptop has windows vista, and I'm guessing thats the root of the problem, it is most the time anyway.

Worms 2 seems to be working ok, until I try to start a game, it generates the terrain and goes to the loading screen with the coloured CD, then crashes with an error message. Something to do with requesting to do a command in a strange way and so it just gets closed down.

I've tried running the game with capatability for Windows Me, XP and 98, all have the same results. Also tried running as an administrator and also got my User Account Control disabled but none make any difference. Also downloaded the patch for Worms

Anyone else had this or have any idea what may fix it?

It does work for most people I think on Vista.

I take it you bought the Sold Out W2/WA bundle release. Did you try installing the patches that are on the W2 CD?

For the Sold Out Software version: W2 comes fully updated and I think W:A is at 3.0, as in the "official" patch you must have before using the beta updates.

W2 doesn't install updated to the latest version, though. You have to manually install the patch which is included on the disc.

WA detects whether or not you're using WinXp or higher and recommends you install the beta2 update off of the disc.
