View Full Version : Probably a Vista Problem

I was bored and looked at some of my old games. I came up with Worms2, but now that I have installed it, I can't actually get into the game.

As soon as I click on "play single player mission" or "start quick single player..." it crashes and Vista tells me that Worms 2 Frontend isn't working anymore.

I've tried running it in compatibility-mode, but either the Win95 as well as the 98 setting make it even worse, because it freezes even before the opening videos saying Worms 2 Launcher isn't working anymore.
I have the .5 patch installed and I'm as I said running Vista 32-Bit.

Anyone ?

Allright, today I tried it on my other machine which is running XP. Same error !
So this isn't a vista problem...

You need administrator priviledges to run worms2 frontend.

Right click on exe and select "Run as administrator".

what is that compatibility mode means actually? you can use your pc that has vista on it ,like it would be using normal xp ? like cheating to your own system by using different windows that you actually have?

It emulates/virtualizes certain functions used in the O/S you selected, it is not always perfect and is nothing like running it in the older O/S.

I have the exact same problem, and that fix didn't work. Does anyone have any other ideas?
