I've seen this happen sometimes, wondering what's going on at such a moment :eek: Massive ping timeout's from many users at the same time.... hmmm...

I've noticed yesterday that tons of people kept joining/quiting #AG which was VERY annoying because your messages are pushed off screen very quickly.

I assumed someone was trying to attack the server or flood it or something.

I can think of one thing all the people who pinged out there have in common... an unauthorised client. :p

But none of them have any signs of using Snooper on that screen. Except ShyGuy, and it states so.

The timeout message takes priority over the ProSnooper advertisement one, it's the one that's displayed when WormNet thinks you timed out, no matter what client you're on. No idea how ShyGuy escaped the purge, though.

Well, obviously something cut their connection with the server and the timeout quit message was displayed for them all the next time WormNet checked if they were still there. Whether it's ProSnooper that does it to save WormNet from getting stuffed with idlers or something the server does itself, I do not know. But I've seen it happen before and it never affects people connected through WA... you can tell from the nicknames of those left alive.
