SupSuper: i'm surprised nobody's done a colonization LP
Paul.Power: There you are, a niche!
Paul.Power: :P
SupSuper: ...
SupSuper: you got a point there
Paul.Power: Hooray
SupSuper: not that i've ever survived independence :P
SupSuper: but hey i could make jokes about americans and english. somehow
Paul.Power: Hehe
Paul.Power: And then I can look over your shoulder using that "view their screen" thing
SupSuper: oh dear :P
Paul.Power: And go "What's that when it's at home?" etc

And there you have it. To commemorate the recent news that Mr. Meier is making a new version of Colonization based on the Civ 4 engine (http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3168463), Sup and I have decided to do one of those new-fangled video Let's Play! things of Sid Meier's Colonization. Sup will be the one actually playing the game, and recording the DOSBox video/audio and our TeamSpeak commentary. I'm hosting the TeamSpeak, watching the play through some crazy program called Screen Stream, maintaining the T17F thread, and bringing my own unique brand of inane banter to proceedings.

The plan is to put up videos of about twenty minutes online on a daily(?) basis. We recorded about eighty minutes of stuff in our first play session, and we plan to record some more tonight, so we have a nice buffer already.

Anyway, without further ado, here's Part 1 (http://www.viddler.com/explore/SupSuper/videos/1/)!

Contents
Part 1 - Green Hill Rubbish (http://www.viddler.com/explore/SupSuper/videos/1/)
Part 2 - You could have lunch on that hat (http://www.viddler.com/explore/SupSuper/videos/2/)
Part 3 - Dave Lumber Party (http://www.viddler.com/explore/SupSuper/videos/3/)

EDIT: I've just realised that I posted this on the Fourth of July. How appropriate.

I enjoyed the first video.

It's wierd actually being able to reply to an LP thread after lurking in the Something Awful LP forum for the last few months.:p

Seems a bit of a misnomer to call it "Roads Roads Roads" when we don't actually build any roads, and only talk about doing so in the last few seconds of the video.

What we really need is some sort of clever pun on fur trading or something. "No Furry Jokes, Please"?

Surely, without further ado?

Oh all right :p
