you should know, that some people cheated to get an impossible amount of points.
also some players won against them and then lost against another and so on ...

so the whole system now is not reliable

some other players already said, that they want the ranking to be resetted so i want to ask you if you are for or against it
i am also for a reset

feel free to not only vote but to also to give a comment on your vote

hopefully, if the majority is for a reset, Team17 will reset it, if they do so i cannot say to you ^^

I think that it isn't necesary to reset the ranking but they should reset the cheater scores.

Also they should resolve problem with rank's update and the quitters. ;)

Well, think of all the non-cheating people that are happy with their rank. They're going to have all their points completely wiped out.

Hi folks, there were only 3 people, who cheated the points, and these people are now actualy on the Top 3!
All other big Pointers just won their points by beating one of these 3 and lost against some others, and so on...

These 3 were now a long time inactive and I think they now play GTA4 and no more Worms ;) I don´t think there were more people, who cheated the points, of course not many people know how to cheat in this case.

I have this idea, that Team 17 (Parsley ;) ) reset all points to 1 or 10 and build in a filter in the points server, which delete automaticly all players with more than ,for example, 100 000, because it takes years to reach this limit without cheating ;)

Yes, It's more important to me than the cheater. If they cheat once they'll cheat again but if that could fix the ranking system, i'll vote yes.:-/

and he had a lots of points... but after the match... i was still with 1 point...

atm the ranking is broken again, but if you are lucky you get your points in a few days ...

I suppose I am for a reset simply because I have lsot the will to play online. Everytime I do things seem to go well until I start to win a game and then BAM they disconnect. I would like to have double digits next to my team :eek:

i made it to see the public opinion before asking them
it is not that hard to reset it but if me and turbo come and say "oh we 2 want the points resettet" maybe they would say no
so as we now see, the majority is for a reset, i will ask them to do it, when the poll is closed

We have discovered an issue with the leaderboards.

Most of the leaderboards should auto-reset on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis. This does not appear to be happening.

We are looking into resolving this issue as soon as possible.

I know how they hack, but I dont choose to do it for Worms, its just that great of a game.

Theres to many hackers that will just make theyre rank extremely high right when it resets.

I don't hack anymore, but I never ever hacked Worms, I swear.

1 of the Top 3, gelsenboi, still existst, but plays only with his second account, gelsenboi2, that he don´t loose his cheaten points, this p.u.s.s.y...

would T17 realy reset the whole scores?

gelsenboi2 is actually Matrona2 by the way. Matrona2 isn't gelsenboi because gelsenboi is never online. Matrona2 has deleted gelsenboi2 profile now.
I think the rankings are unfair because the top 3 players have to many points. eg 990 000 001. This is very unfair because if they are never online then the people that are lower than them will never get a chance because they can only play people in the 100s and 200s which means it is impossible to get in the top 30. I think they should be reset. Or atleast the cheaters and the people in the millions because it's stupid.

D3MON666 has mistaken his comment about me. I was not gelsenboi2. I am Matrona2. I have a lot of profiles though. I have Matrona2, BiLLii not the big cheater, the one in rank 300 and something. Anyway I have Unbeatable2 and Ryan7A. I say the top 50 are never ever online. They earn all their points by cheating, and beating the cheaters

Just take out the top 20-30 and leave the other scores alone. I think they should make a pernamant hard cases/valiant failures/maggies drawers boards as well as the weakly boards.

We should ask Team17 to make quit unavailable in play for points matches, then we will all start getting more points.

Oh, not this argument again. If you got rid of quit, people would just turn off the WLAN switch.

Guys, Matrona2 is my brother and he is Gelsenboi2! I know this because were in the same room when we play together and he has shown me and told me he is Gelsonboi2 so there.

However, your repudiation of super_frea's point contains a serious flaw. Imagine these two extremes:

System A:
Trivially cheated.
Large, dedicated and effective staff deleting the results of the cheats.
In other words: high error rate, maximal error correction.

System B:
Difficult to cheat.
Few staff.
In other words: low error rate, minimal error correction.

From looking at the output (the ladders in this case), you cannot distinguish these two systems. Cheat-free output (your comment) does not mean un-cheatable processing (super_frea's comment) and therefore your response is unsound.

As the highrankers never come online, it would be hard to still get there as an active player.
Maybe a new ranking system? MAybe a little much asked...

I would also be pro for getting bugs out of the system, if any.
Only sometimes, on rare occasions, I get the points from a victory.
I recently won against someone with a pot of 180 (TurboT :D), he lost 30 pot and I had 18 pot, but I didn't get my points (Why God, WHY??)
And if someone disconects, or if the connection gets timed out, I LOSE POINTS. And if I lose, I always lose my points.

OK. the leadrboards update 3-5 days so if it has counted it in your pot, then you will get them. Now since the server maintence a few weeks ago, wornet and the points system has worked fine for me.

My pot has been reset to 1, although I did not lose any games after that game against TurboT.
Does that mean I won't get them anyway?

And this one time, I got like 3 points from winning, but my pot didn't increase... Just mentioning :D

It has to do with logging out of wormnet, it resets your points.

If you only got 3 points for winning it wouldn't increase your pot:

If you have 100 points, you would have a pot of 10-OK?
If you then won 3 points your total points would be 103, still making your pot 10.

I´m a little bit confused :confused:

The permanent points are still wrong.
Only the weekly points seems to be reseted.

Set quitters automaticly to surrender and do not disconnect the game.

Surprisingly, we have thought about quitters and the grief they cause and, if there were a solution, we'd have used it, believe me.

Unfortunately, we cannot keep a PSP connected when its WLAN switch is off. This has been discussed extensively on this forum. It's quite an interesting read (hint, hint).

i am not cheating with my brother, i am just beating loads of good players. i got loads of points from Mad1Moogel, he has lots of points. Every time you sent me a match invite, i was in a game, i did not block u because i dont block good players. i wanted to play you but i was in ranked matches every time, i dont want to be in the quitters list.
