Well folks! It's April 1st, so who's going to be the first to find the Team17 April Fool's joke? Post speculations and/or theories in this thread (keeps it tidy, I suppose).

I'm finding the announcement that newbies' posts will be heavily moderated a bit suspicious simply because it was announced on April the 1st. And maybe also the fact that validating every message they post would pretty much completely desync them from the rest of the forum.

I would think the same except thomas isn't that well associated with T17 themselves....granted, I could see a mod-prank being played, but I didn't see one yesterday at all. the moderating of the first 5 posts would be the most unamusing april fool ever, so I doubt that was a false announcement.

It was pretty much the only thing I saw any staff or mod announcing.

I remember that last year (or was it the year before last?) us teamsters thought that team17 had fooled us by announcing a new feature in worms 4 in which you can use the ninja rope on objects to pull them towards, or away, from you. Although this news was posted on April 1st, the whole shenanigan turned out to be completely true. Team17 outsmarted us completely and don't think they had actually played a real April fools joke on us that year either.

2: The Team17 staff are the Teamsters; we're called the forumers.

However, last year they put up a link on the codemasters site about a level editor for W4. That was the joke that year. So, maybe there is one this year...

Actually there is no april 1, that's the biggest joke of all. It's actually March 32 and then it skips right ahead to april 2. Fools people every year.

As an aside, my (teenage) friend's girlfriend's dad sent his (my friend's) mum a text saying he (my friend) had gotten his girlfriend pregnant. His mum (who was in a meeting at the time) dropped the phone and left the room in tears. Bad timing aside this was the best April Fools joke I have ever heard :p

Volcadmin and I did decide though to announce the pre-moderation of new members' posts before midday on April 1st, so as you lot would think it was an April Fools joke, thus kind of fooling you.
