Here it is. Feedback (including flattery constructive criticism) is accepted. At the moment I only have the use of MS Paint, as the other programs I use are installed on my external hard drive which is packed away in a box.

I like the spark on the dynamite.

Okay, Constructive criticism time!

That picture is (no offence) quite bad. It looks like about 5 or 7 minutes were spent on it. The colours okay, but you really have to work on the eyes a bit more. As well as the shape.

The dynamite spark is good though.

I do beleive its MS paint that made it bad though.

Rofl, someone who isn't the author, but still blaming it on MSPaint. :p
Read the recent threads, man!

I quite like the style you got going there.

Okay, in this one we have a worm, holding a gun, with his back to us.

I still used MS Paint for this one, but I used the ellipse, rectangle, curve, and line tools without even once using the paintbrush tool.

I hafta say I like that one.

Something's wrong with the tail, though.

It has to be pointy at the end, not like a sausage. The head is shaped round and not pointy, though.

The angle of the gun is slightly off as well.
It looks like it's bent at the end.

SgtFusion
4 Apr 2008, 03:48
It isn't. The back is supposed to be this shape at the end:

He ment the other one.

I agree with super_frea, something's wrong with the gun.. the perspective is wrong.

*brings up mspaint*

It looks like this from the top:

Aaaaaannnnnddddd here's a quick image to show what's wrong in your picture (on the right), and a lousy edit of your image, together with some other lousier examples (on the left).

Am I the only one that notices that guns aren't supposed to look like that in the first place? Seriously, three cylinders and a cube?

What about my gravity gun?

..Oh yeah, it doesn't shoot bullets.

Nice improvements.

I tried to do a 3D perspective one. I'm not sure if it looks too good though.

The outline on the worm far away should still be as thick as if it was up-close.

.JeT

That isn't really as important.

Not necessarily...

Well, even if that wasn't what he was going for, the motion lines don't thin out the further away they are, so either way it needs more consistancy.

I don't know... It's showing that it's coming towards as opposed to the far away worm just throwing it to (our) left.

Look better, definately. But the picture is quite small.

Upload it to Imageshack.us instead, and post the DIRECT link to the picture with surrounding [ IMG ][ /IMG ] tags.

HINT: copy-pasting old stuff to make new stuff isn't very... creative. Starts to look good, though.

Here's another one. As always, I will accept constructive feedback/criticism, because that's how I'll learn.
http://i31.tinypic.com/21o3nl.png
Originally he was going to have blond eyebrows, but they looked weird, so I changed them to black. You will also have noticed how I have made his tail thinner and longer than my other worms. That's because I thought that the other worms' tails were a little too fat for shortness/short for fatness/both to allow the worm to be able to move like the ingame ones.

While I admire your rather basic attempt to shade the thing, the fingers look silly and the tail looks far too long and elasticated. It just doesn't look right, to be honest.

Shadowmoon
6 May 2008, 17:10
One thing you should try doing is make the tails a bit shorter.

Also, if your trying to give the impression that the worm is holding a bazooka, at put something like a handle through his hands, so it looks like he's holding it.

If you don't understand what i mean tell me and i'll do a picture of what i mean for you

SgtFusion
7 May 2008, 01:53
Meh. :-/
I made the tail longer and thinner because (as stated in my above post) the tails on my other worms looked too fat and/or short to be able to move anywhere. But it seems it made it not look so good. And you're right, I should have made the handle for the bazooka. The reason I just put his hand where the handle of the bazooka should be is that I don't really know what a bazooka handle should look like.

It's good but the crease on the side of the neck is wrong. It needs to be going the other way otherwise it looks like he is positioned towards the back and looking behind him. It's quite hard to explain actually... I don't know if that made any sense :p

Here's the same one as above, but with a helmet.

isn't sopposed that you only have ms paint cuz the clouds look like a effect

SgtFusion

I used Paint Shop Pro and Paint.NET to make the background, but I still use MS Paint because it's the one I know best how to use. I tried making a worm using Paint.NET, but the outline looked weird.

The Helmet is very nice actually. I like it.
