Hello,

I bought WWP today and installed it regulary without any problems.
I started it, but the game is very, very slow and I do't know, why. If I start a game against the computer, the game crushed.

My computer is not bad. 2000 MHZ, 512 MB RAM, enough space on harddisk, NVIDIA GeForce 6600, normal sound card and Windows XP.

Can anyone help me?

Update your graphics card drivers to the latest version that supports your card and hope for the best. That's where the problem lies.

If that fails or if you want to play the better game, get Worms Armageddon.

I updated the drivers to the newest ones, but the problems are still there.
Sometimes I cannot even go through the menu screen. I start WWP, TEAM 17 screen comes, but then only a black screen. I can only continue with clicking on the Windows Start key. Then sometimes it continues and sometimes not.
When it continues, everything is VERY slow. The capacity of my computer is at 100%. I don't know, why. I wrote all my data about my computer. Many new games work on it.

At one time I could even make a game (training mission) and there everything works fine. But then I came back to the menu and all the problems again.

Like I said, Worms Armageddon works for sure. And if it doesn't work, it gets fixed because it's still being developed. If you want a full experience, buying that game makes sense. If WWP is definitely the one you want to get working, you could try reading this thread and perhaps one of the solutions in it will help you:

Downgrading your drivers to 69.xx or older will solve your slow problem in WWP. shoot a missile at Nvidia if you want new drivers that aren't slow in wwp.

No, it does not work. I downgraded to 69. and then the game doesn't even start. Besides, all the computer runs very slowly and I cannot make an ideal resolution for my screen. It is NOT a solution.

that sounds like your video card is not supported by the 69.xx drivers which means that the 'solution' does not apply to you. plus it only solved the slow menu's... im not sure what is causing the game to crash.
