When I start WWP on Windows Vista Ultimate x64 I have as many users bad colors (screen below).

Starting game in the modes of compatibility nothing gives. Once is normally and once bad but often bad. Just when I started WWP in the mode of compatibility from Windows 98 / Me and resolution 640 x 480 it was normally. However play in such resolution is not comfortable... Maybe new patch from the Team 17?

Sorry for my bad english. I'm from Poland ;)

Once again, have you done this?

Oh, and the color bug will only bug you(No pun intended.) sometimes. So you'll have to draw the game and (optional>>>)change the terrain.

Yes i done this and nothing gave. But unimportant. I already have another way on bad colours.

Maybe the colour bug has something to do with some three hundred and screw-the-other-numbers colours thing kicking in.

Try looking deep within the folders and see if you find a solution, or do what the others say.

Colour problem resolved

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi. I had the problem with the psychadelic colours when trying to Play Worms World Party. I have been reading all of the posts regarding getting the game running under Vista & after trying all of the solutions offered & not fixing the problem I was ready to give up.

Then I decided to access the game from the 'Games' menu. I left the compatibilty mode as Vista, ticked the Run in 256 colours option & the 'Run as administrator' box & it now works perfectly.

I am running Vista ultimate with an 8800 GT video card.

Hope this helps some of you.

This solution doesn't work in Windows 7 :(

It works, just tick Vista compatibility in windows 7 (no service packs) and 256 colors. Then go in the game, choose a quick game (I tried starting a mission) and the game should have normal colors (even after you quit the mission).

That's all well and good for windows 7 32 bit. Doesn't work for 64.

Why do you people buy 64 bit computers anyway? Doesn't the hassle of finding stuff for it make you bored? Is it really that good of a computer, if it's 64 bit?

I can tell man there are many problem using windows vista. Here are few steps you can try over. Right click on file change compatible view change to windows xp service pack 3 and after that try running as administrator.

How that's gonna solve your problem as it does mine.

To prevent the colour change remove the gadget bar on the right of windows vista.
I'm not sure would it work butit work in WA when using Vista transformation pack 9 so it may also work in the original vista.
(It in WA and also works in WWP:) )

(UPDATE:BRACKETS)

Also check out the menu frames per rate fix which is modified from WA http://www.mediafire.com/?k45awzdtxzt

Yes it works in wwp i checked

And i want to make a thread to shoe this to others how to?

Of course its good. If you ever want a windows pc with the ability to address more than 4 gb physical memory (ram for example), this is the future. Its no hazzle, the only application i have had problems with is WWP.

OT, i gave up making WWP work in 64 bit windows.

No i wont. First of all its only 3 months old, and as long as the thread is still indexed by bots and found by people (i found it on google because i had this problem), it should contain all available information about the problem. If i had seen that others had been unable to make it work in Win7 64 bit, it could have saved me some time.

It was much easier than suposed:
-install SP1 of worms world party
-configure the game to open like windows vista, 256 colors and execute as administrator
-open the game (colors are not ok), and change the resolution to 640x480
-open a single game. the colors will be all righht!

cheers

Instead, play Worms Armageddon with the latest update. WWP is obsolete with WA being updated.
