View Full Version : Glitching epidemic

There seems to be more and more people using the 'two attacks in one turn' glitch and it's ruining a lot of games. Is there any chance of getting this fixed? I've noticed that many people high up on the weekly leaderboard (Acides, Micka2b, etc.) are either cheating like this or using the same glitch to crash the game if they start losing.

Grrr.

It appears T17 has abandoned this game and their customers who bought it.

I wouldn't count on getting this or any issue fixed, let along get a reply to your message from someone at T17.

My guess is, if they do "fix" the problems the game has, it won't be for the Worms we are playing.

They will implement them in their new Worms product (Open Warfare 2), and then release that on Live and expect us all to pay full price for it.

WOW2 looks fun, but competitively online with Live, I'd much rather have the Worms we have actually fixed.

Come on T17, throw us a bone, we bought your game, we paid for your downloadable content, and Worms is (or was) the #1 Live game. We helped you make all the profit, now show us you appreciate that and fix the product so all the content works, and the game rules are broken by bugs that encourage cheating.

You can't expect a reply to every question within a few hours. Team17 have other things to do (like writing games) and they respond when tehy can and where they think they have something useful (and/or sarcastic) to say.

There had been no response to this question for over 9 days before Haoshiro replied. And gee, look, still nothing.

When was the last time Team 17 communicated anything about this game? Looks to me like it was on January 22nd when Spadge posted about it being "quite a surprise we were over-looked" for the Best XBLA game awards. Meanwhile there are several posts on here from the last couple months with problems that have never received a response from T17.

I do apologise. I saw the times and not the dates for some reason there. Although still, it;'s worth mentioning that nobody can read everything posted here and it's not supposed to be a hotline to Team17.

You can't say the game has been "abandoned" just because this thread didn't get a reply. If there's an update coming, it's going to take longer than a fortnight.

To be fair, AT, it does seem to have been abandoned

I'd give them the benefit of the doubt if it hadn't been 7 and a half months since the last update out of Team 17. Even the most recent news posted on the T17 homepage is from July 4th. They clearly have no intention of fixing the problem with the Manhattan theme, and nobody even seems to pay attention to this forum anymore. And it isn't like there are millions of posts to wade through, it's pretty sparsely populated nowadays. All indications seem to show Worms on XBLA has been abandoned. :(

+1 is my response to this but I need 10 characters so here I go...
