heyas;

so i searched for hamachi on the forums here. (its a lan emulator for internet connections.) i've found several replies to threads suggesting to use hamachi as a solution, and one guy who says it WAS his solution, and one question on the sticky.

but my friends and i haven't gotten worms2 to work with hamachi yet. if you use it, what's the secret to getting it to work?

hamachi does not defeat firewalls. you still need to allow both hamachi and worms 2 access to the internet through your firewall. it only helps you by making you not need to port forward.

also, you and your friends must be logged into the same hamachi network as each other i believe.

well, we all get connected to our worm network on hamachi just fine. just worms 2 doesnt seem to realize we're on a virtual lan.

i noticed worms reported my non-hamachi ip to me, so i used ip switcher to switch it. as did my friend. when joining the lan lobby, we can't see each other.

so are we supposed to be doing these router things and ip switching things or not or what? it certainly is NOT working to just plug it in and play. there have to be some other steps.

and yeah, worms and hamachi are cleared with my zone alarm. i even tried turning the firewall off.
ain't happenin :/

hmmm, well when i tried hamachi Worms 2 detected the Hamachi IP instead of my local 192.168.x.x.

if it's possible, try making the Hamachi Network Adapter your primary network adapter...

well...

i can get worms2 to recognize my hamachi ip by using ip switcher.

if i make hamachi's adapter the default um... won't that mess up my cable connection?

maybe if i get everybody getting their hamachi ip into worms, we'll find each other in a local game.

if i make hamachi's adapter the default um... won't that mess up my cable connection?it is only to test if it makes a difference, i am not sure if it would affect the internet.

maybe if i get everybody getting their hamachi ip into worms, we'll find each other in a local game.
:/if the above has no impact then yes, this will most likely solve your issue.
