Hey guys, my father has been having problems with his sound card of late and I have no idea of how to fix it, so I was wondering if you guys could offer any solutions?

The problem he is having is that the music stutters and warps frequently and it's very annoying. He uses Vista Ultimate.
This is what his sound section of his hardware looks like.
"High Definition Audio (disabled)
SB Audigy
Uni Modem - Half duplex"

We were having this problem for awhile, so he purchased a new soundcard hoping it would solve the problem, but the sound card didn't change anything. :/ If any of you could help, I'd appreciate it. :)

Did you uninstall the old card drivers? And have you tried enabling the High Definition Audio device?

Nevermind. Sorted.

The current hard drives use IDE connections and don't really function well with the motherboard. So we're buying a new SATA HD hopefully.
I took my HD and plugged it in and the sound was fine.
