I just installed WWP again on my computer
wich is a quite new one with
geForce 8600
AMD X2 6000
Windows Vista HP 64bit

It ran very well and without any
problems. But suddenly the first
problem appeart:

1. Strange colors
Every now and then all the colors
in the menu are at a low bit-level.
Maybe something like 8bit.
The main game was still without any problems.

But after I tried to make my own map
out of a bitmap suddenly this happend:

2. Black screen
When I wanna start a game no loading "cake" appears.
I just can see a pink square on a grey background.
After the loadning time the screens turns into black
and I just can hear the sounds.
One time I alt-tabbed to windows and back and
I could see everything like usual in the right color.
The only thing then was, that neither mouse nor
keyboard where working.

If anyone could help me.....this would be well cool...
But plz don't say something like:
driver update: didn't work
reinstall: also nothing
dx9 or 10 problems: nada
dxdiag: it says "no problems at all"

Okay that was every information I could give to you.
THX in advance

A graphics driver update, combined with making sure you have no unnecessary programs running in the background, should do the trick on NVidia cards. Because your problem doesn't happen all the time, it is very likely that a firewall or an anti virus solution, a messenger, a media player or something else is stealing the game's focus, which is known to cause trouble on all paletted 2D Worms games on the PC. Turn the applications off one by one and see if you can find out which one is to blame.

As a side note, these games run in 8bit colour mode even when they look the way they should. That's 256 colours. The so called hippie colour problem only replaces some of the colours in the palette.

THX dude!!!
Thats awsome....I took a look at the task and found nothing BUT
as I tried out to play again and I gone to windows a bubble appeart
about a CD burning issue. I tried to burn a CD with Windows one time
but it hasn't worked. Windows had it in the task...all the time and now
it came out.

I think this topic is to be closed ^^

Nice. Thanks for letting us know what caused it, it'll help others with the same problem in the future. Never heard of CD burning software doing it before.
