Hey I v got into new LAN. After I tried log in WN (worms:armageddon) I realised that my ports are blocked so I asked my admin to open needed ports.

I got answer that 6667 is permanently blocked coz it is very popular and there is danger of being virused or flooded. He said he can open 6666 or 6668 but if game need 6667 he is sorry but I got a problem.

What can I do? Is there another possibility to connect into WN with 6667 closed? :<

Please define what you mean by "open" / "blocked" ports. Your computer can make outgoing connections and it can accept incoming connections. W:A does not need to accept connections on port 6667. As for outgoing connections, port 6667 is used by IRC (Internet Relay Chat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Relay_Chat)), which is the default port for an extremely common messaging protocol. If your administrator is intentionally blocking outgoing connections on that port, he is being non-sensical, and I'd suggest either trying to reason him or getting another Internet connection. There is no work-around aside using a proxy server.

Well he said 6667 is in danger for their LAN coz its popular and usually attacked by viruses. As I know WN's chat work on IRC and 6667 must be unblocked. Is there any possibility to change in my W:A to 6666 or 6668?

Even if I ask the Team17 server administrator to configure the Worms Armageddon WormNET server to listen to connections on another port as well, there is currently no way to set it up in the game itself. An immediate solution to your problem does not exist, unless you use a proxy server.

y0 thanks. I`ll try. I found the way to get into host and there is no need of 6667 anymore.. I just cant see people on #AG and cant see what they are writting and they cant see me existing on #AG but when I join a host (coz I see hosts) it works. So far I have to liv with that mayb get used to it, lol. Sorry for my english, lol had pretty long break and forgot how to speak this cruel language.
