Yeah... I'm getting on out of here now. Chances are this is for good.

This place has just been coming back as a huge time waster for me. Not in terms that talking to you guys and stuff is pointless and everything, rather, I find myself not getting what I need to be doing - done. In this forums entirety there are about 2-3 threads that I actually look for updates in. Thats it. The rest of the time I just aimlessly waste time looking at random stuff I don't care about. That and watching newer people learning what the past 3 generations just learned... Lack of respect becoming more and more towards everyone and everything... Threads going on with no purpose and meaning... All in all, it's just getting flat out repetitive, boring, and anything but enjoyable.
I've tried to help this forum out and help it to become better, so don't give me that "be part of the solution" stuff. Mainly I'm leaving because I'm at a major cross road in my life, and I really should be paying more attention to what I'm doing with myself. Thats the bottom line.
And don't think that I'm going to just be one of those people who lurk in the shadows. Nah. I'm making sure I'm not coming back. Although who knows, maybe one day out of the blue you might see a post. But I doubt that. I wont going on a spamming spree or get banned or anything like that. So no worries.

Want to stay in contact? I might get on DA from time to time... to post art probably... so if you have an account, send notes, leave messages, what have you.
If you have a WII, add me to your list and we can send Wii-Mail. :p Which currently I think only PB has actually added me to their list. : /
E-mail I don't really check, ever. So I'd advise against that. Instant messenger, I don't use anymore. So, if you ever need me, which I doubt you ever would, contact me somehow using people who can reach me if you can't yourself.

Soooooo yeah. It's been an interesting 4 or so years. Take care of yourselves, stay out of trouble, and don't trust whitey. I might make one final comic/art before I leave 100%. But now till then I'm not doing anything much here... so yeah. Just a little bit more and I'll phase out of here completely. Just though I'd say good bye to whom ever cares.

Later.

I am really sorry to see you go.
I think you've been hinting at it for a while, though. It was clear you were going to leave eventually.
It still sucks to lose a great forumer. You actually tried to make the forum better instead of just complaining about it. I'm really sorry I couldn't muster up the effort to contribute more...
At least you're leaving for good reasons.

Seriously, I wish the best of luck to you, man.

I always thought you were one of the better forumers out there Slick. I haven't been active here anywhere near as long as you have, but looking back at your threads and such I've noticed your increasing frustration at the forum and how it's become.

I'll miss you.

You'll be missed, Slick.

I miss staying up stupidly late and watching the Mr. T show, playing Soldat, and watching the Mr. T show while playing on a goofy novelty Soldat map. That and your fantastic fan art which you always say sucks.

Take care of yourself. And just try to say hi now and then. :(

Hah!
You'll come back, just like Nutter and WormMad did.
You'd need to get banned like K^2 to make this final.

This forum will become a lesser place without you.

And I'm sorry for being such a sucky conversationalist on MSN. :p

Sorry to see you go. I hope you come back later, Slick. Don't think of it as breaking a promise to yourself, it is possible to have a normal life and come here occasionally.

Do pop in and visit sometime. I know what a fantastic time-waster forums can be, but if you don't make it a regular thing they're less likely to distract you.

I would say good luck, but we all know how that goes for you, so... don't die out there. Particularly in the self-inflicted fashion. :p The only people here I've seen draw better than you are HK and Saffya, and I haven't really seen them around in a while either. People with far less talent than you have gotten into doing art professionally (just look at cartoons and the local comics pages today), so if that's something you aspire to it's always possible. Like they say, it's not what you know, it's who you know -- and I've seen plenty of proof of that in person already. Talk to your dentist or something; that's what got my mother a job getting geese off golf courses. Funny, innit?

See you on the flipside, or the other side, whichever comes first.

you'll do like my, I'm bettin. ignore the place till it becomes less of a time-waster, then come back after a while cause you miss some of the people in the community, and then stop reading and posting all the stupid threads and mostly stick to OD.

that's my money, anyway.

Sorry to hear that, but it's what's best for you that matters.
