Hello there.

I recently installed Worms Armageddon on my Computer. I updated to the WA_update-3.6.28.0_Beta with the .exe installer, followed instructions and accepted the GFX update that it asks. I already ran the game on Vista but another computer. It had Vista Ultimate and now I have Vista Basic. The Specifications of my computer can be found on the ErrorLOG.txt found HERE (http://www.mediafire.com/?1gbjyylsj9x)
I Start the Game, it changes Screen Res., then Black, then back to Win, back to Black and then again back to Win but this time with the error message. I really want to play. Pleeease Reply :)

Best Regards

PS: In case the link above does not work, the errorlog.txt can be found here.

Did you have admin access on Vista Basic when you installed the game?
IIRC, that was the cause previously.

Yes I did. I do actually. The thing is that on my older comp. it worked perfectly and I did EXACTLY the same thing installing both. The only diff is that I now have Basic instead of Ultimate and my new comp. is more powerfull.

OLD:
Intel Pentium M 1.7 GHz
1 GB RAM DDR2
Intel ExtremeGraphics Integrated Card

New:
Intel Core 2 Duo 1,66 GHz
1 GB RAM DDR2
Intel X3100 Graphics

Ah. Some intel graphics cards/chipsets have bad graphics drivers for vista. They aren't compatible with direct draw, which WA relies on.

Options:

Downgrade to XP
get a new graphics card
wait for wa v4.0 (not any time soon)
Bug intel for new vista drivers - see the thread in the main wa forum called "stupid intel graphics chipsets" or something

But I had an Intel Card before, so why with this one? This one is supposed to be MUCH better. I couldnt even run Windows Vista Aero or Dreamscene features.
